QHLan 14 is around the corner, scheduled to kick off in
less than 2 days on Nov 4th. QHLan is to QuakeWorld what ESWC is to Quake 3, or Wimbledon to Tennis :) The full player list is
available, but I want to bring to your attention some of the biggest names to ever attend this LAN, making it potentially the biggest and baddest LAN tournament in the 14-year history history of QW.
Milton - Current demigod of duel and 4on4, everyone will want to dethrone him at his first ever QHLan! Hasn't lost a duel tournament ever since his first one in 2004???
ParadokS - One of the laziest old schoolers and yet still dedicated to QW. An animal on DM6.
bps - Recently won 4on4 with suddendeath and nice dueler. Ses pa lan.
LocKtar - Forward-running aimbot machine. Party animal.
Rikoll - Winner of last QHLan 13 duel tournament.
XantoM - All-around solid player with 2on2 and 4on4 his best, can own you in duel too...
nitram aka valla - Genuine oldschool (he was there in QHLan 3) and he loves being the duel underdog.
niomic - A walking encyclopedia of quake knowledge and opinions. Has nice skills (being an LPB so long :))
murdoc - Has good duel and nice teamplay with Slackers, extremely active player.
These players also might show up, maybe. Don't hold your breath:
gaz - Old school player, and a great insight during live commentary. Not sure if he will attend.
serox - Old school dueler with 4K. Sounds like he is a cool guy, not sure if he will attend.
Bulat - Aimbot nightmare (think cypher) from the depths of Russia. Not sure if he will attend.
fooki & fazz - These two guys aren't really known as QW players, but they are killing machines in Q3.

All told there will be 200+ people at this LAN (which, by the way, is conducted in cooperation with the nonprofit
hazard and does not have any commercial sponsors) and of those it will be about 100 hardcore quake players, from the super newb (me) to the super pro :) But, seriously, for every player mentioned above, at least 2 more players will be there who have honest chances to beat them.
