Do as the program says (no it's not a virus but a self-extracting archive), push button, move 10 cm, DON'T let go look at the dpi displayed with button pressed.
6/11 is preferred because any non 6/11 setting can delay or discard a small amount of mouse input each time the mouse is polled. Up to 1 count of mouse movement is held back until the next poll.
so markc you suggest to use 6/11 then. Anyway there's some pro players that play with 5/11 maybe cuz they are used to. Fox from Portugal, mJe ex-mTw.. but ill use 6/11 as you said.
is there any calculator to convert the sens? 4.3 5/11 to 6/11 - X.
@p00nage123:
When 'Enhance pointer precision' is OFF, in these situations:
- Windows (normal non-game windows)
- In a game that uses old-style mouse input AND has an option to not muck about with the Mouse settings (Half-Life and Counter-Strike with the -noforcemparms option for example)
To convert from using 5/11 to using 6/11, multiply your in-game sensitivity by 0.75.
When 'Enhance pointer precision' is ON, OR you are in a game that mucks about with the mouse settings (Quake, Quake2, Quake3 with in_mouse 0, Half-Life or Counter-Strike WITHOUT the -noforcemparms option for example)
To convert from using 5/11 to using 6/11, multiply your in-game sensitivity by 0.8.
To find out if EPP is ON or OFF in-game, run MouseMovementRecorder.exe while the game is running. Instructions and on my Mouse Fix page: The MarkC Windows 7 Mouse Acceleration Fix, scroll to "Does my game need a mouse fix?"
BTW, http://ragial.com/mouse has incorrect calculations for converting Control Panel pointer speed slider into a sensitivity.
The players you mentioned play CS which is basically in_mouse2 so the only reason they use a lower windows sensitivity is for desktop mouse sensitivity.
