No, cpma.

They aren't going to turn QL into a cpm movement only game (well, for their sake I hope not). If they simply make cpm movement, instant weapon switch, and etc etc call-votable options (like cpma)... I'm sure everyone would be ok with it. =)

next patch will maybe add customizable movement in pro servers and so on until they finally release cpm and other mods. This is gonna happen at the exact time the game is dead, and most probably the whole fast fps games genre as well, or at the release date of starcraft3 and cod12.

also someday, probably in my 64s, someone will develop a quake3 clone using real 3d graphics displayed on a screen (not virtual or fake 3d like as of now in which you don't get true depth perception. It doesn't feel real).
It will be played by a couple hundred people who share being over 60 and having parkinson and chronic tendinitis, including a homeless man that yet thinks he's rich and wise because he learnt the word "bafta" from some internet blog.

Finally in 2110 quake3 will be inducted to the IVGHOF, an institution bigger than most third world countries by that time. Lots of people will realize how hard video games were and will start playing it again

That's a bit far. I don't think just because they add CPMA physics and weapon switching everyone will move to it... Vq3 will always be more interesting to watch and play. CPMA CA is just a fun mod. For FFA/TDM etc it's spreading it too thin so they should just restrict it to CA... Afterall, CA at the moment is pointless. It's like they clipped player's wings off so they can't fly properly

I actually like it a lot, been raping ffa servers yesterday and had great time :)

It should pretty much be default for all servers. More arcadey and fun. Like Quakeworld. Seemed like a huge increase in the number of people playing for a couple of days. Changes the weapon management and opens up the lg/rail and lg/rl combos. And oh my god, the anything-to-grenade-launcher combos.

This, plus ramp jumping, stair jumping and throughfloors should pretty much be the new QL settings.

I don't think anybody knows who you are. Do you just comment stuff on ESR? VQ3 and QW/CPM weapon switching are just different. Neither is really harder. Skill differences just depend on the player. Join #uscpmpickup sometime. :)

when you get caught with the wrong gun out you are supposed to die. That is a skill in vq3. Not this fast weapon switch bullshit.
