yeah agree. but the engine looks cool.

at the beginning you have a light sense of danger as you have to create stuff to create stuff in order to defend yourself before the dangers (btw : only 3 types of ennemies) spawn (1st night time)
then challenge is gone, and remains :
-exploring land/caves which look-a-like everywhere (seen one ? seen them all)
-buildind (do you still build sandcastle when you go to the beach ? do you still play with lego ? me neither)

the game has potential, but on its current state it's a waste of 10€ unless you got matter of disagrement with the previous paragraph
it lacks challenge the most imo, and variety then ; ways to improve it are numerous and some are obvious, well it's a WiP after all

how does multiplayer work? does the other players 'house' respawn also or is it just an empty world? can you save you multiplayer game and continue later on?

multiplayer isn't really made yet.. theres a really buggy multiplayer feature on the current version but you basically just connect to someones server/world and you build stuff with them. you cant hurt anyone and nothing can hurt you. theres a bunch other major bugs still in it but thats because they JUST started on multiplayer and i have a feeling it's going to be nothing like what it is atm

Nothing respawns or anything, so you have to get resources and build, but people can grief you and destroy your shit. If you're worried about griefing, just build your stuff far away from the default spawn.

The map generates more world as you reach the edges of the current world. The current system is capable of randomly generating a map roughly 8 times the surface of the earth, and at the speed you move, it would take 6 years walking in a straight line to reach that edge.

How did you? In singleplayer or something?

Tried to set up my own server to make a ZTN or Hub map but I don't have anything except basic tools and stonewalls (no fancy metals or something) so figured it'd be easier to make it on a multiplayer server. Decided against going on a random public server and trying my luck at making it without griefers doing their thing though

alpha multiplayer (bought version), set up my own server and opped myself through the console, used /give <playername> <item id> <amount> according to this list.

noctis have made aerowalk and it's awesome but not "textured" and there's no teleporters..

You need a hacked server for that, though.

yeah people are able to connect to my server, but there's some "end of stream" bug related to WinXP SP3 that randomly disconnects people.. sometimes very rarely, but sometimes 5 times in a minute.. annoying as fuck :P

can't say i have any plans at the moment though :)

Well, I just found out that if you run a multiplayer server, you can abuse server admin and get any block you want in any quantity. So, if you want all the items with little effort, I guess that's the way to go.

Yeah I started playing the multiplayer where you get infinite blocks and all the rest of it, but it's nowhere near as fun and addictive as the single player survival mode. There's also that feeling of self-satisfaction that you build a huge fuck-off skyscraper out of rocks you mined yourself etc :P

Very true. That WILL take a long time though.

My advice is to build from subtraction. Just dig a hole very deep, and build by deleting blocks, instead of building by adding blocks. Will save you some time.
