Originally, we were going to do a split-show, like we previously did with Steve 'xterm' Devaney from ESL, but since there isn't a lot going on, we decided to devote the whole episode to the interview I did with John 'alien' Clark of the ESL. His story of how he got into gaming is really amazing, including MEETING HIS WIFE IN Quake. How awesome is that? We talk about some of the previous events he's run including Digital Life, Transatlantic LAN and the recent IEM 5 in New York.
We also get hints of team-based tournaments coming shortly in the future from ESL. I would very much like to see modes like 2v2, TDM and CTF become popular here in North America as they've been pretty dormant as of late. Make sure you check out National ESL and keep an eye out for some of the tournaments coming up in QuakeLive. We can't wait to have John back on.

interesting guy, interesting story. although he was a bit long winded.
ps: hate to disagree with someone ridiculing gillz but i dont think hes the biggest complainer in the community. in fact i would say hes one of the first people to jump on bandwagons and then defend them with an often naive and idiotic devotion.
