about the weapon setup i have to think and test it abit but sofarr it looks good

i would like more stairs and less jumppads, but thats just me. overall the feel is pretty nice. the middle area with the bridge could be made a little smaller, so the space between the 2 sides/bridge is less. but im just thinking fastcaps. i might be able to get this map on a q3 cpma server, then if anyone wants to we could go play some vq3 to test the map for gameplay :D

Could you maybe remove the jumpad at the ra and replace it with a teleporter that beams you high so you have to jump to the ra? all these jumpads - i think you could remove that one easily.

i would really like to play it to see how it really unfolds in 4v4. Anyone with me?

1 spawn gets stuck in the wall.

1 spawn on each side of the map, and one takes 1800u+ to get out, but the other one takes like 500u.

we ran around a bunch, like 5 people, and the big wall just outside the flag room needs to me shrunk. the pillars in front of the flag need to be lined up with the door better.

i dont really know much about competitive layout analysis algorithm stuff, so i cant really help too much, but the other people can. if they post here

Put it in your user folder:

and make it readonly.

a bit offtopic but.. how can i make my png transparent in ql? I saved it with alpha channel, copied the shader from /base_support (just with my filename) and it doesnt work.. with or without the alpha channel. I got my .tga grate texture working properly but cant do the same with pngs.. wtf

I think q3map2 or q3 in general does not support *.png.

would it be possible to save the image as .tga, with the transparent alpha channel, compile the map, then change the file from tga > .png?

I don't know but I doubt it. You could just use .tga - .png was used to reduce the file size afaik.

well i know nothing about mapping. was just throwing that out there, in case it wasnt considered :3

but when I compile a map with original ID's shader + png texture it works in ql (grates, ctf flags, etc).. I just cant get mine to work properly. When I save it as .tga - it works, when i save the same file as .png - its not transparent ingame :/
seems like i'll just stick to .tga files, thanks anyway :>
