Yep they are not bad, but Arsenal, if they really did want to be champion in EPL, they just can't simply lose braga 2-0. This is what pissed me off. The Arsenal board/manager wants nothing else but profit. Well, every club wants profit, but Arsenal pushes it too far. Yeah, i mean, come the fuck on: Dudek runs up to Casillas - they whisper for a while. Casillas calls over Ramos - they whisper for a while. Ramos passes the word to Alonso - he gets the card in a way more fitting a 1:0 lead and already down a man. Then Ramos takes the goal kick instead of Casillas, which happens, like, never, and does the same exact thing.

It's pretty damn obvious it was premeditated, for the sake of both of them not going into the cup rounds with a card each. Wonder if UEFA will react to this...

It's not too vague if they can prove it. They really should send out a strong message, teams shouldn't be able to manipulate the system like that. But true, this is RM, and not the first time this has happened. I suppose they'll just be fined some meaningless number.

I must admit, the cuntish aspect of Mourinho's character is certainly an attraction.

I mean he is probably the best manager in the world (at a club level) and whats more he doesn't just know it, he uses it. He is constantly pushing boundaries and isn't afraid of the repercussions because he knows that nobody will touch him.

It's good for the game to have personalities like that, because they often spark off events which not only keep the sport interesting but provide space for new discussions on old concepts - such as the extent of a managers control of on field 'antics'.

One other observation. Of the three games I saw: Ars/Braga - Real-Ajax - AC-Aux. I saw so many rubbish decisions by the refs.

Blatantly obviously yellows (perhaps even reds) weren't shown for challenges in the Real and AC games and then the penalty in the Arsenal match to boot.

Arsenal for some reason, is painted as an 'underacheiver' club. They havn't acheived more or less than most European clubs in recent memory and I think most of it stems from a growing animosity toward Wenger both within the media and certain parts of the game itself (commentators etc).

The club is slowing reaching a turning point that will see a new manager and ethos permeated through the club, but until then I think Wenger deserves the fans respect for what hes done up till the day he leaves.

I think it stems more from the hypothetical potential of the players and them underachieving.

On the other hand, i can't think of another club and/or manager that had such a ragged run of injuries in his team (except maybe Benitez but fuck him).

Meh. I like Wenger on the merit that he's adventurous with his team and doesn't just park a bus around his goal when faced with a stronger opposition (hence the hammering from Barca last time around, btw HELLO MANCINI YOU CUNT). Not too many guys left in the game that are willing to sacrifice results for the sake of keeping it entertaining.

Yep, and i can't blame them. Nothing wrong with wanting your team to succeed, no matter the style (Greece). Still, as a neutral and unbiased observer, i can't help but enjoy the fluent, aggressive style of Wenger's Arsenal. Only thing i'm worried is what will happen to this team when Fabregas finally leaves for the sunny shores of Catalunya. :| Without him, or with him but in poor form, they seem to be playing at around 50% of their ability.

Give Wilshere another year or 2 and he will be able to fill the void left by Fabregas (if / when he finally leaves the Emirates).

Cesc is a great player, however he is a bit injury prone. A team can't build on a injury prone player, since consistency is so important. Arsenal can't rely on players like van Persie (Fabregas is not as bad, tho).

They only have to come good once, like robben last season at munich. He almost made them win a treble on his own.
