Basically, to look really impressive, you have to beat impressive opponents. If cooller started to pwn everyone in QL from the beginning, his opponents would not be considered that good by the public, it would be just cooller pwning noobs, nothing exciting. So before winning, cooller needs to let several other players win, so that there would exist an impressive opposition of best players, champions, that he can beat and show everyone that he is best player ever.
This is the only reason k1llsen was allowed to win that tourney.
