Meh. It was okay.

Didn't taste nearly as revolutionary as I thought. In fact, it was rather dull. Upside was that it subdued the acid effect of salty-cheesy-fried things; downside was the feel of saturation and weight.

Did complement it with some ketchup of course. I'm not sure at this stage how it could be made to work as a sustainable recipie though.

While it certainly is filling, it just isn't fulfilling enough. It needs something more to add clarity.

The pizza dough might be the fundemental problem. The sound of the word is perfectly illustrative. The taste is muffled twice over. :\

How about sweet potatoes instead (not mashed)? They have a bit of flavour.

If we modify the genes of the potato to make it big enough that one slice is the size of a flattened pizza dough we'd have something interesting i think :D

I think you need the potatoes under the cheese/meat and add some creme fraiiiiiiiche : )

To have the cheese on top would definitively help. And freshing it up with some fraîîîïîche always helps :D

Oh, I love nutmeg. Didn't include it this time unfortunately. It's hard to tell what difference it would've made. Bacon would've been fitting, but the pizza was already packed with meat.

Why mashed...? Potato Pesto was a known dish where I came from (san francisco), it's fucking delicious. You don't mash them though, you just put slices of potato on it.

I'll let you in on a little secret: I didn't actually have fresh potatoes. I had pulverized ones.

In any case, delicious slices of potato will go on top of my next pizza.

Use cheesy mash potato..

great idea brah, but flake took the cake!

My mum makes this sometimes, I think she takes some mash and mixes it up with flour then flattens it out like a pancake and fries it. Then she puts stuff like bacon, tomato sauce, ham, cheese etc on top.

Its quite nice actually.

Also look up potato cakes, where I come from they have been eaten for ages (Lancashire, England) :)
