You're all socialists and communists here. Maybe you can tell me, if the vast majority of a democracy is comprised of the impoverished, why do they not simply vote themselves out of poverty?
Representative democracy is one of the biggest and nastiest lie of human history.
You want to control many people form the distant but you can't? Give them 2 or 3 parties, and you only need to control the parties with money and media. You don't have to care about the people anymore since it really doesn't matter who they vote or why, only money counts and rules, and it's working perfectly on a global level.
But the current form of socialism out there are even much worse, so ... :)
No it's my bad :) Well I really can't enumerate in a single post everything a state does and is there for... And you couldn't possibly come up with alternative ad hoc solutions for everything, especially since we're talking about large scale here instead of small communities organizing themselves through direct representation.
I see, and also I think I beginning to understand what were you asking.
Perhaps the difference between you and me regarding this subject is, that you think that we need a political system on the large scale level, to prevent countries/humanity falling into anarchy and chaos. I don't share that belief.
Not only to prevent chaos, but to build infrastructures, finance research, redistribute the wealth, control currencies, control exchanges and exchange rates (as well as with the rest of the world), make sure taxes are harmonized, etc etc. The list goes on. The truth is that you can criticize state-level representative democracy all you want, it remains the best system by FAR. The problem you were pointing out in your first post is 1) not inherent to representative democracy 2) way blown out of proportion.
Yes. indeed. For the many, large scale systems (states) are a must, since they are like a family for an individual. Taking care of everything what's inside the "circle".
You don't necessary need to organize a political system for that. Nothing I said is out of proportion, it's just too FAR fetched compared to your belief.
It's simple human nature.
" I would rather see rich people lose a little bit of their fortune than improve my own conditions. My situation might get worst, but as long as I can fuck "them" over I'm happy."
