ca 2on2 is actually fun and could get alot of animo from newbs :)

hearth is good, other than that ur right

i can live with hearth staying in, but it can be kinda campy

played a bit more CA lately and agree 100 % with you, didn't play somewhat damaged tho

wtf? no hellsgate and no campgrounds in ca 2v2... 2 most played maps in CA 2v2 are dropped rofl :D

hardly most played maps in ca 2on2, the most played map is thunderstruck , dm6 not so much... and Hell’s Gate Redux is just without void which can be a random factor.

nop, i have been playing ca 2v2 now for more than a year and 75% i have played on hellsgate 25% on dm6 and rest on other maps (hearth \ hellsgate deluxe \ thunderstruck and asylum)

then your strange :) cause its thunderstruck 99% of the time.

instagib CTF is a nice gametype, trust me !

If you were playing instaCTF all the time, your rail would be pure $$$$$$, probably even better than k1llsen's rail, i'm not even kidding, 100% serious.

its another type of aim in instagib. was playing noghost for few years)) all weapons when u dont use 100%of time rail is like bench press 150kg 1 time but instagib is other story,there u need to use it all time and if i compare it to gym its like doing 100kg 20 times.. its a little bit different game

mappool is ok/good, except almostLost and evolution.

almostLost is a good/very good tdm 2on2 map, but otherwise it basically sucks for anything else.
2on2 CA on this map is either "everyone regroup at upper YA right next to the jumpad in the middle of the map, and then spam spam rl in 5m²" or "don't meet and pixel rail for 15mn". Not to mention the rail aera which is totally useless for CA (who would go there tbh ?) etc etc...

evolution is a very interesting 1on1 CA map with lot of fast-paced vertical action, but for 2on2 it's a bit too small/random. Why ? Because if you want to win at this map you HAVE TO regroup at the main upper platform, but there isn't enought place for 4 people there... That way it becomes so random with massive RL spam, everyone will try to stay up and then it ends up with RL only fights for all game long, sooo boring. And don't tell me that you can still go on the "sides upper platforms", because if you do that, in 2on2, you are split and there's no way to RL spam the main upper platform, and you don't have as much space to move/dodge as on the main platform...

windowPain should go in, it's a very good 2on2 CA map, and you can play it both ways :
defensively (= try to control one side of the map, block the entrances with rl spam/gl etc, and pixel rail through the window etc etc) or offensively (= everyone meet inside and start with rl then eventually switch to shaft)

someWhatDamaged should probably go in aswell. Not that i'm a fan of this map or anything, but more like it just can't be worst than almostLost ^^, and at least it's a --->CA<--- map, not some duel/tdm map.

asylum is probably a bit too big for 2on2. The map is actually almost perfect for 3on3 or 4on4, but i'm not sure about 2on2. And well, at the beginning of ql, it has been designed especially for classic/large CA, not 2on2 or 1on1 (small ca), so, not sure if it would work THAT well for serious business small CA.

and dm6 is so crap for CA.

Yeah, Almost Lost is the #1 free map to be replaced, but later.
Totally agree on Window Pain, it'll probably replace Three Story (too big/unbalanced for 2x2 imo) or Evolution next time.
Somewhat Damaged is not a bad choice, but seems too unpopular to me.
