Well everybody is able to judge for himself what's better for him. The LG is a little bit for gaming and has a matte panel plus nearly no back light bleeding at all, but the colors of the Asus are significantly better (especially without heavy calibration) and I interpret the solid stand and height adjustment of the Asus as a huge pro.

I have Acer GD245HQ and its nice monitor but..

Menu settings are rubbish.
Monitor don't keep settings if you restart monitor.
Monitor have buzzing noise if you go to some webpages.
Monitor breaks in half.

Pros.
120hz gives nice crisp picture.

Im not reviewer but cons are beyond anyones limit.

I also have it and I can only report the 2nd thing you mentioned. I dont have any of the other issues you have mentioned. So for me the pros far outweigh the cons :)

Why are you disappointed with the BenQ? They developed it for gamers, the only issues with it are minor in relation to colours, bleeding, etc.

Everything that is developed for gamers should not ultimately be good. You should know that :)

I still use a CRT and will until I get a new laptop/comp with proper output that gives me more than 60hz. (this one here only has vga - i didnt check when i bought it lol. i still dont know how they could not add it when i play fucking 900 euros for it)

Because VGA can't support 120hz through an LCD (I'm pretty sure on that). The only way to do it is DVI-D.

My point is that this monitor is solely designed to be the best performing 120hz lcd in regards to gaming, so response time, refresh rate, etc. When people complain about colours, bleeding, I'm not really surprised at all. It's not designed for that. This monitor isn't for photoshopping, or movie watching, it's for gaming.

Anyway, I understand peoples complaints about it, I just think that those complaints should be taken with a grain of salt :)

Still other monitors equally well performing in games are better in other environments like watching movies and stuff. You do not buy a monitor solely for playing, now do you? I buy a monitor that should be great for all-round use, so that I can enjoy games, movies and last but not least browsing the Internet on it.

if you don't use dual monitors then yes. But I do, so it's not.

If you go on like that, than your choice should be the LG, because it is the best in games.

nah. My gaming monitor is NEC Multisync fe992. Max resolution of 2048x1536, or a max refresh rate of 160hz, and it's CRT, so it's response time is measured in nano-seconds, not milliseconds.

The other monitor is a Samsung 226bw. It's great for other stuff.

of course a CRT is the best you can have for games ; )
