if there was a 1800DPI with the old 3G Deathadder/Salmosa sensor (but with prediction off, unlike the Salmosa) out there, some people might be very satisfied, because of a mouse that does not jitter.

I have both abyssus and 3.5g deathadder both track FLAWLESSLY

bs? google 'abyssus skipping' and see yourself. I hoped for a better performance but this mouse actually made ql almost unplayable. Imagine u wanna turn 90/180 degrees quickly but the cursor lands on the ceiling and u get 2 rockets in the ass. Kinda annoying.

im using it on an old ass dirty goliathus speed with no problems at all sorry

it can jitter from time to time due to some dirty spots on the mat but thats all

99% of a time it works properly

i agree its still shit compared to my mx510 which tracks flawlessly even on a wooden desk but its enough for quake

The Abyssus skips like crazy on QCK pads, but it's fine on a razor or a allsop pad.

I believe the error has been corrected in the new models. (Was reported about on the abyssus mousepad thread.)

Mine skipped too on a qck, but ONLY after i soldered in a red LED (seemed to work still on a talent tho).
So maybe its just the scotch tape ur using, for lower LOD, which make it skip.

Skips even worse without the tape, and the lift off is pathetic. The tape doesn't cover the sensor, it just makes the hole smaller.

I have abyssus and IE3.0. I've tried both on my qck+ and abyssus jitters like hell on it unlike ie3.0 which is completely smooth. So I'm using ie3.0 for now until I find compatible mousemat for the abyssus.
But the rumors are true that abyssus jitters like hell on cloth pads. Dunno in the end, supposedly you have to buy razer mousemat eg. goliath speed if you want to play with the abyssus and that's what I'm gonna do.

QCK+ is the problem itself, so many mouses jitter / skip with it, just to name a few: G9x, G500, Abyssus, DA.... and the list goes on, cant really figure why people use that kind of shit pad.

I havent tested, but i have read from forums that all those mouse fail to track perfectly on that pad

Abyssus is terrible on my cloth mat. Works perfectly on wooden table though :| I probably need buy a new mouse mat. WMO is fine on cloth mat.

i dont know where all this shit about the 3.5g da or absysses sensor and jittering comes from. i cant belive that u guys all got friday afternoon products. im using my second da 3.5g in combination with qck heavy and it work flawlessly. srsly guys stop blaming hardware and learn how to aim.

bought my abyssus 2 days ago and it skips like shit (tested on qck and revoltec fightpad). Mostly when u wanna do a 180 degree spin or some flick rail - the cursor gets crazy and in the end its pointing to a random part of the screen... so damn irritating. I really expected some better quality from Razer :/ Even some 8 euro a4tech mouse i used for 3 years didnt skip like that. BIG thumbs down.
I've heard that abyssus actually needs the 'Control' version of the goliathus pad cus the 'speed' version is too slick.. Gonna try it - if it skips im returning this shit back.

i have reached 3.52m/s speeds, enotus mouse test, and mine works flawless it doesnk skip at all, im on 450dpi; 0.018 ; 4,5 and 0.2accel.

use 450dpi

450 dpi is cool ... and i use intellimouse explorer driver.

it happens no matter which dpi I change it to.. been reading alot about it and it seems that the sensor razer used just doesnt like some of the mousepads :/ Such a dissapointment.

The newer versions are ok, I tested an abyssus mirror edition and it didn't skip. I have one of the older ones. The skipping was manageable on a golithus speed at 450dpi, but you couldn't draw in paint.

You mean it "jitters", rather than it "skips".

And my sample of the abyssus doesn't jitter at all on the qck when theres no dust on the lens.

it does both jitter and skip... the jittering is not so annoying (but the tracking is worse ofc) in-game, I could live with it, but the skipping makes the game a pain. Ordered goliathus control, if the mouse still has the problems even with razer mousepad im returning it back and buying some logitech mouse (prolly g700).
