Did you test this in Windows 7?

From the Logitech website:

This product originally shipped with either iTouch or MouseWare, which are not compatible with Vista. We strongly recommend to uninstall iTouch and/or MouseWare prior to migrating to Windows Vista.

Of course you can't even install the damn thing. (The driver, via the Control Panel)

Logitech doesn't supply windows 7 / Vista drivers. They just refer you to the stock Windows drivers.

Download Mx518 Drivers they works with all legacy mice!

it's a 400 dpi mouse according to mousescore.

I'm pretty sure it supports 800 dpi with the driver, at least there's a noticeable difference in speed and precision.

at least not the speed, but iirc the 800DPI with that sensor caused neg. acceleration and was kinda fake 800DPI.

EDIT: otherwise there were no point, releasing the mx510.

It is an 800 DPI mouse, however it defaults to 400dpi until a signal is sent over USB that tells the hardware to switch to 800dpi mode.

You wont find any drivers for Win7. I was trying to do so for my mx500 and finally switched to g500.
