As for the game, it's actually quite fun and finally something fresh in the RPG genre, it's kinda like minecraft considering it's popularity at the moment, the game only costs about ~9€ on steam and it's definitely worth it.

It's a button-mashing rpg adventure which relies on lightning speed combos (your small-screen character has 10 elemental effects in his attack... and his attack can include combinations of up to 5 effects).
I played it for about an hour, and was interested to see more and where the game takes me, yet somewhat uninterested by the progression of the game's challenges :c
It's entertaining to try and come up with random effects with the combinations ( DOUBLE FIRE DOUBLE LIGHTNING BEAM OF DEATH!!!!... SUPERSIZED ROCK OF ICE (water+freeze)!!!... SHIELD OF FIRE!!! and so on), but it's still feels like an arcade game, and i was personally uninspired by it despite playing and liking the big games from which it borrows its core values from both Diablo2 (ISOMETRIC!!! SHOOT THINGS!!! SKELETON MAGE!!!1) and The Street Fighter Series (HADOUKEN!!! BUTTONMASH SUPERCOMBO!!!!FATALITY!!!(Street Fighter brings back memories of being like 5 in the the early-mid 90s playing on SNES with friends)).
In short: it's innovative (especially if you consider it was made by team of friends from Uni), and both the scripted plot and the player trying to test the game to its limit can end up in funny and unexpected results, and it's finishing is very nice, yet it's just...monotone/arcade?
It's definitely worth to try it and see what it's about, I guess it's just a question of preference. I tried it, it didn't appeal to me. ITS NOT A RAPE SIMULATOR AT ALL
I was expecting you to troll, but those were some legit reasons why you're not liking the game.
I'll give it some time, the only thing that bothers me or mostly my (hopefully) future companions: Too many god damn crashes and bugs.
I've managed to convince 7 friends to buy it via steam. I'm the only one with a working game, so far and playing it alone is not fun.
There are dozens of threads on steam about people who cannot connect or just get random crashes if they attempt to run the game.
A new update which fixes this numerous bugs would be a blessing really.

i kick any1s ass, im a machine, you would prefer to carry on with q4max, then try Q43A knowing most of the sdk has been recoded, etc etc etc and find out its pisses on any other quake you have every played, with most quake all work the same
you will have nothing to bitch about, if your ping is too high and you miss, its your fault, not some random work around shit bit of code in the sdk

need the engine if you want to recode netcode for ping and core..
Q43A changes the amount of bytes sent and received for each entity spawned ingame, making other code that used specific to server or client, saving processing time where its not needed
code specific to server will be added to a snapshot and sent to players, client will return out of the function, instead of the code being processed and just overriden by a snapshot, 60% of the SDK has been recoded or script kiddied to make it work, along with other new features that new features like vehicles wont flood snapshots
if you had the engine and want to sync vehicles with the normal SDK, you just change the max bytes allowed in snapshots engine side, the normal SDK is close to the limit without any new features
and for every entity that could be reaching 200,000 entities per second in a packed server it all helps, especially if 32 or more players all have and firing a hyperblaster
id SDK`s have some junk and the source code to the game dll, not engine, engine is GPL`d 10 years later
half life was made using quake 2 engine, they recoded everything and script kiddied some new physics into it and called it source, they cant licence it out to other game dev companies, because of id royalties
q4 idtech 4 engine is 80% idtech5 without new file formats ETQW has and full megatextures for terrains,
d3 idtech 4, is pure beta
carmack has been on holiday since, and done nothing to the renderer
played first 10 minutes yesterday, humor seems similar to early 90s sierra games, like quest for glory, which is awesome. hope the game goes on like this and has alot of gags...
if you are Swedish the dialog is pretty funny since they have thrown in some real Swedish words whit the made up language and ofc talk whit a stupid voice.
