Okay, so I have the following issue:
I dumped my old config as soon as I changed my desktop, so I want to build a new one. There's only one problem I can't seem to solve.
How should I change de video settings (be it with console cmds or from the settings) so as to have the map darker but keep the keel/bright skin actually bright.
It only seems to be bright when using Fullbright settings. Anything other than that just makes them a washedup green. But in Fullbright the problem is that areas of the map where light is shed from whatever is on the walls or such are too bright and it's difficult to see clearly the green skins.
I'm not familiar with all the console commands so I'd like to know what's best. I have to add that I'm using a 1680*1050 screen rez (I know, not pro at all of me) but others just make maps and enemies look awful as if watching an old movie (unlike Q3 where picmip 6 would still make it playable).
Troll away if u want, but any good advice is appreciated.
