Also the entire article seems to be more like short description of players and their doings from like 2 years back for some sort of freshies into quake community, nothing what average esreality user wouldn't know,

Anyways cool contribution, should be placed on esl.tv for some foreign community members to give them some insight to the quake player circuit so they could spectate games with some more knowledge about the players (there's nothing to disagree about the fact that all the stories behind competitors (and their personalities ofc, hai coollah) been becoming more and more important factor what makes quake community kinda unique comparing to another competetive games.
Maybe some of them would get involved into quake afterwards

what i mean with the defensive play is becoming weaker is it becomes more predictable. I wasn't shooting for anything indepth more just on the surface as it becomes never-ending when I research into specific matches and tournaments. I've had a chance to meet alot of the final 12 at Quakecon and I have spoken and watch their games for some time and this was just my take. I am happy for it to be used wherever and yes I agree also the personalities of players are attraction to spectators

I agree that defensive play is more predictible now, but that seems to be because defensive play has become easier?

The patience and tricks cypher has to pull out seems to be a response to this, because rushing is obviously impossible now.

About the content, the part about defensive play confused me as well. Everything else is widely accepted opinions, but that part that seemed to fall from the sky (not necessarily wrong, just unheard, at least afaik).

still, iem eu usually has more skill than the world championships, and thats sad, considering all of these european beeing left out because of the spot seedings.

I agree. Europeans vastly outnumber and outrank North American players. There should be one final elimination between IEM NA winners and IEM EU winners before the World Championships.

so we would have iem eu#2 + rapha, instead of world finals, imo the idea is to gather all best players from asia oceania us and eu to compete in one tournament, so cross-over additional elimination stage doesnt make a big sence to me, also I wanna see CZM :(

I would not be surprised if vo0 and czm could keep it competitive with madix, noctis, tox1c, gohlink, and zsx.

If they were to play each other, I would say BOTH vo0 and czm beat everyone except noctis. I wouldn't rule them out of the noctis match either, e.g. vo0 would win on dm13, and czm was the aero boss back in the day so noctis would have some trouble.

You said "IEM Europe is more competitive than IEM World". I took the names of the players that were in IEM Europe and whose slots were taken by IEM America.

I'm not sure what argument you are trying to make. You want America to give Europe two of its slots for players that are either onliners (agent), don't care (z4muz, fox), can't read the rules (stermy), or can't qualify anyways (guard).

My point remains the same. The only one who was snubbed by America is noctis. If you take noctis out of the picture, vo0 and czm deserve their slots. If Zero4 was playing (like he should have been) then America certainly deserved those two slots.

judging on czm's pov of iem us finals of his game against vo0, with some practice he could beat literally everyone except maybe top3 on aerowalk, this game was soooo $$$$$$$$$$

I think here's all the stuff, although i got mine from my firend's pc on pendrive, he's sort of librarian who spares all demos from big tournaments sorted and described in a really detailed way so I had all in one xD

in a recent interview he stated he'll practice A LOT for IEM world, and given his recent online win against strenx, ... ;)

I don't see a problem with the system. It makes spots for IEM EU highly competitive, which is perfect because there are so many good players in Europe.
