It can certainly look like that at times, but true fighting is simply going to involve full contact like that.

The day you practice jiu jitsu the first time you will understand the incredible level of skill and technique that is involved when these black belts fight. When I practiced the first time, I was completely overwhelmed by the precise technique shown by white belts with 1 year of training.

i just looked up a youtube clip of this "fight" and all i saw was one dude laying on the ground and another dude riding him while punching his face uncoordinatedly. no idea how that's appealing. i like a good tactical boxing fight or a good ol' fashioned hockey fight, but i just don't see what's so great about this ufc bs.

Like I said, jiu jitsu is amazingly technical, it's not really possible to see for the untrained spectator because two fighters on the same skill level neutralize each other. Obviously size, strength and weight play a big role as well.

That's because boxers are prevented from using cliche or ground fighting. In fact, they are protected from these fighting techniques. A boxer will be easily fucked when a good jiujitsu user getting close enough to him.

It's your choice to watch boxing (I watch boxing too), but STFU when you don't know something.

Watched stream at 5 A.M. Fedor didn't look confident coming in the cage. And after what happened and his words I felt sad about him. In his fights with arlovski and rogers he wasn't as impressive as he used to be. And 2 losses after that. I don't know, maybe it's time to leave for him. However he has already made his name he will be the best of all times no matter how he will perform in future. imo

Fedor claimed he's not gonna quit and will train more and win next fight. Also his manager said that fedor understood he needs to go around the world to learn different fight techniques as he did in the past.

I don't know this is a good thing or a bad thing now...

This is most certainly a good thing. Pure athleticism alone isn't going to help you be a solid fighter for as long as Fedor had been before he started going downhill, and he's smart and realizes that now.
