Oh forgot to say, settings on Deathadder are:

- 900 dpi (enotus only detect it as 800 or 1000 dpi lol)
- No drivers
- 500Mhz

- windows xp SP3

try 450 dpi for superior max speed, then try precision and smoothness another time as well

I did a brief test on the max. speed test, since the Smoothness was what was worrying me.
I just did another test at 900dpi and got 3.54 m/s.

Anyways, here are the result of the 450 dpi settings:

Enotus Mouse Test v0.1.4
Mouse: HID-compliant mouse
Model: n/a
Resolution: 400 dpi \bad\
Polling speed: 471 Hz
Max speed: 3.38 m/s (53200 points/s) \excellent\
Precision: 99.8 % (0.43 m/s) \excellent\
Smoothness: 14.2 % \bad\ <---------- A little better but still bad :(
Debug data:

Btw, how does Smoothness affects performance?
does it measure if the mouse skips or not?
how can i fix it?

Screw all these tests and other yada yada. Play with what you feel comfortable with and you will achieve much more.

yeah, but the "just play" situation has been years for me until now.

Just to know a little better about my little gaming partner :)
And know if will affect negatively in my gameplay that 'Smoothness thing'

Have to choose if will keep playing with IO 1.1 or the new Deathadder.

Guess I'm not the only one in this situation..

it's just a benchmark, not something you should value over your actual performance, got it?

it's just as if my PC had a bad 3d mark score (although I was able to run all games perfectly..), so I went on buying a new one because it gives me more points in 3d mark (but - magically - there is no difference in how games run, still flawlessly with zillions of fps)

Oh ok, thanks a lot!
That EXACTLY what I wanted to know. Then i can say that my Deathadder is running Perfect, I dont see any reason to look for the 3G edition instead of the 3.5G (at least in my case)

PS: Just some info
Changed to 125hz and got 'excellent' on smoothness (2-3%)
Change to 1000hz and got 'bad' smoothness (140% lol)

Deathadder runs both excellent on 500 and 1000 Hz. 1000 Hz are a waste of resources though, so if you're not using a quad core CPU, I'd use 500 Hz if I were you.

totally agree, maybe the reason for bad smoothness was that the CPU wasn't handling it well at all (Intel P4)

sorry for the misunderstanding,

I meant to say that everything seemed Ok until i saw the "Smothness: 20% /BAD/"

everything else stills OK (max. speed, lift off, no jitter, ...)

JUST want to know
What is that "Smoothness thing"?
how does it affects mouse performance?
how can i make that 'bad' to become 'excellent' in my Deathadder lol

your DPI is also BAD, use 3500

it doesnt affect perfomance, forget about it

there's one bug that it sends coordinates only every 2nd poll at that rate so that it pretty much feels as 250hz at that rate

yes im using 500hz.. so i should use 250hz? my mouse seems weird @ moving. ingame (counter strike) it feels so weird sensor.

For the DPI test, you have to move your mouse 10 cm (on your mousepad, not on your screen)
Enotus value it as 'More Dpi=better' , but for me in Cs 1.6, too much dpi at low resolution makes me have negative accel.

Then dunno where the problem is :/ (sensor?)

The first time I did the test, got 200 dpi cos i was counted 10 cm on my screen.

When Im doing the test I just look at my mousepad and move 10cm (without looking the screen) and then is Ok

Remember that enotus test will recognize 400 dpi instead of 450

On the test, it tell you to disable windows enhanced pointer thing and chose 11/11 sensitivity. Do not know if it really works

heh i find .

1.1 wmo is more smooth on 125 hz than on 500 hz . i notice it long time ago .

but i play 500 hz cause i dont have that stutering and grafik looks more smoother.

but am saying that realy mouse is more smooth on 125 hz feel and aim better on medium sens 24 cm for 360 . but for lower sens u need 500 hz cause negative accel and 500 hz protect me from stutering [smth like drop fps , but not fps :D]

on 125 hz i have excellent smoothness and on 500 hz i have OK smoothness .

125 hz feel better for normal playing on medium sens .
