EMS8 QL TDM 2v2 Seeds + Groups (53 comments)

Event: EMS8

The 16 teams qualified for the EMS VIII Quakelive TDM 2v2 have now been seeded. As the Group Stage will be composed of 4 groups of 4 teams, the teams have been seeded into 4 different seeding pools in order to prepare the drawing of the groups in the next days. The 4 seeding pools rank from Top to Low with High and Medium in between.

If everything goes as predicted, the groups should be ready this weekend. And the first Playday is still planned for the 21st of March. The news will be updated with the groups as soon as they're known.

Update: The groups are finally known and published! Note that the default date for the matches is Wednesday 21CET.

Now everything seems pretty fair. Still, I would switch seeding of TA.2on2 / Bulls pound (TA had a close game vs top seed DDestiny represented by Cooller/Jibo in the finals, while Bulls Pound got demolished vs cherubim).

It's stupid to base your statements on a one map game (against a team, which is way more stronger than DD at the momen), the game didn't even had a stake (top 4 qualified anyway) otherwise we wouldn't play the map which we didn't play before. Not like I'm saying TA don't deserve high seed, being an admin is a biach! : )

Well, I would say TA is a bit better than aCtion, but they are kinda mixed up, no 2v2 record at all, so you can't seed them higher against a team who compete regularly. Who cares anyway, if they are good, they can proove it.

Gotta agree on that. I'm not aware enough of 2v2 teams nowadays, so yeah, its kinda hard to seed everyone right and let everybody be satisfied with it :)

yeah, a mere 14 frags difference loss to jibo and cooller with madix in a bad day. I was actually expecting to win this match going into it... But if they're top and we're medium, just wow at bias... :)
