Hello,

There have been tons of discussions regarding what is the "best" mouse. Often people speak about comfort, so I'm interested in collecting some data.

Measure your hand the same way you would to buy gloves, as shown here:

Then post the mouse you use.

For those with a small hand, don't worry, nobody is going to make stupid jokes about it :p

And for reference, 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters, 1 centimeter = 0.39 inches.

i'd prefer something smaller and lighter than the xai, mainly because of the way i play. an optical wgm with a wheel would be heaven :)

but really, there is no correlation at all, because I can use pretty much every mouse comfortably with claw grip, but there may be a correlation when using palm grip..

i have similar measurements and even wmo seems a tad too big for me (claw/fingertip grip)

edit: remeasured and it's closer to 19/19 cm

Take mouse cord, wrap around bit needed to measure. Note starting position and ending position.

Spread mousecord on flat surface such as a table

Take any ruler.

Measure.

Grip depending of use:
Usually for websurfing I use finger grip

For gaming use it depends on the weapons or the game style(fexple: its not the same cs that q3):
Tracking weapons (lg,mg,etc): clawn grip
(Rail,etc): palm grip
Im changing all the time...but I tend to use the palm grip at the end

I'm using that spawn mouse by cooler master atm. Really fits my hand so it's pretty nice. WMO worked great too. Never really felt comfortable with my MX518.

I think it's worth noticing that there is at least 1cm of imprecision in those measurements and that's critical because we're seeing a lot of 1~2cm differences between the people! So we can't tell whether that difference is real or just bare measurement imprecision.

Here's what may affect the measurements:

1st measurement

- translational

- rotational

- "squeezional" (how much one should squeeze the hands with the tape)

2nd measurement:

- translational

- rotational (this one shoudn't affect precision too much)

All of those imprecisions would be minimized with clear specifications in how and where to make the measurements.

PS: I know I'm being very picky about the subject, so chill out :) also, I think that 1cm difference has much more relevance in using a mouse for "hardcore gaming" than in wearing gloves.

your hands are smaller then most posted so why not just look at the smaller mice?

EC2, FK2 and ZA12 are all close enough in size, so if ZA13 is too big then your left with G100s.
