1024 is the lowest 120 u`ll get out of it.

sry, duno, read wrong, thought about the asus cause i couldnt get 120hz on that below 1024 vertical.

Did I do the wrong thing by making a thread? I need to know if the monitor does 120Hz at lower resolutions as I will probably be running it at these resolutions quite often. I searched the internet extensively and couldn't find an answer. Many members of the ESReality community own 120Hz monitors, so I thought this would be a good place to find out. Apologies if I've offended you in any way or done something wrong, I'm not too familiar with the rules/etiquette of this forum.

to my knowledge all the currently released 120hz monitors support 120hz in all resolutions. in your op you claim otherwise, could you atleast point to the source of your informations instead of opening a thread because "somewhere" it says "something".

I have the LG W2363D and it can handle 800x600@120hz altho I haven't played around much with the scaling options for it.
But I got it for like 2weeks ago and I did some tests on it on diffrent resolutions and It did handle them @ 120hz without any problems that I could see. And yes the OSD and everything said 120hz so im pretty sure it works. Altho I had scaling off so I had sidebars and stuff when using it. In the end I choose to use the native resolution in Quakelive, but in other games that my computer can't handle that higjh resolutions with high quality graphics I tend to use lower res and it works without hassle.

I don't think it works

You can (And should) set your card to do the scaling when not at native resolution. Both ATI and NVIDIA have this feature and your monitor will always get a 120hz signal.

There are a few benefits to this, one of which is that the scalar lag time is virtually non existent, whereas its unknown if it might cause the monitor to have more input lag.
