i'm not sure that'd change anything though, the regular individual play would keep on to try to achieve a good net anyway. this is why i'm also atleast semi against showing even damage, this way there'll always be something for the individual to chase instead of doing whats best for the team.
But you do kinda need these things to see who's performing, from a team point of view, or even yourself, otherwise you have nothing to gauge yourself on. If there were none of these details, your team would lose the game, and when looking for answers for what went wrong you won't really know.
I understand what you mean though, that people go for individual score rather than working as a team, but I think that only applies to (or should only apply to) pick ups and weak teams.
i dont think there are any simple metrics by which u can measure how good u did in a good tdm game. so really anything u put on the scoreboard is going to be meaningless. might as well leave it as it is. i used to think damage meant something but this was mostly because im almost always the person who does the most damage in most of the scrims that my clan plays. so then i realized looking at damage net is just a way for me to tell myself im doing well instead of trying to focus on the team game aspect. tdm is too complicated to measure things with numbers.
edit: i guess it would be nice to have some team stats on there tho. things like items per team, weapons dropped to opponents etc.

agreed. but letting people see their frags/death ratio makes them far too concerned with their stats, which isn't what tdm should be about. something along these lines is far enough information for a scoreboard in my opinion. (googled the screenshot since i dont have any left myself, qwtf <3)
- big team scores
- team/average ping
- show flags of the playres
- stats for item control
- use of the clan system for team names
- net frags/dmg and maybe something like the proposed assists aswell
- although unrealistic i would love funky things like heat maps and a score graph ;)
