Basically in q3 if something popped up on your screen while you were playing, the game would become really dark. This is just a quick way to fix it when it happens. Doesnt happen very often in ql tho.

I have a rj one as well but hardly ever use it though, sometimes in CA when I'm playing like a turd and fail my jumps 10 times in a row

Maybe a short explanation for what it does...

Its basicly a more complex version of noctis's script

but the difference it you have two modes

used by vstr viewtoggle

one is for base play with multiple fovs for different weapons and the other is a movement set with my defrag settings

movement set is a 115 fov on all weapons

zooming is used with a +vstr script

and the zoom is the same for both modes and are set according to how I use each weapon and such

also I have different crosshairs per weapon and xerp setup

Oh yes and the sens and accel settings are calculated by the broken Q3 zoom algorithm for each fov

I can go deeper if you like....

now I'm kind of sad Saddam didn't ruin your shit back in the 90ies.

I use a zoomscript, that if you select rail, and then select it again, it zooms in. If I select it again, or switch to another weapon, it zooms out.

I only use zoom on rail, and found it easier to just use this than have a seperate button dedicated to zoom. Also, my rail is MOUSE2, so I suppose that's why.

You can replace the fovin and fovout with +zoom and -zoom and toggle.

I zoom in with rockets , plasma and rail alot

actually I zoom with all weapons alot but I seem to favor using it with the LG and plasma oddly enough

also wouldn't it be smarter to set you lg bind to weapon 13;weapon6
instead of weapon 6;weapon13

as your current bind would suggest you would rather switch to CG instead of LG as it would switch to CG even if you have the LG there

As for the name scripts, in OSP I have to use

Cause OSP won't accept the special characters binded, only if it's the core cvar seta name "specialcharacter.

With this my weapon bind become drop that weap if i press them + mouse4 and with team say it gives a different msg if im holding mouse4, most of this script was made by Swelt for Nobles only

So I was wandering through old cfgs and found a thin shaft script for OSP, configured it for my needs.... but I've read that it fucks up sens having zoom all the time, also I've read that there was a way to calculate the proper sens for thin shaft zoom using some kind of program called thinsens, but it's nowhere to be found, at least google doesn't help me. :(

I use sens 5 with 0.5 accel normally, res 1366x768, two different fovs for diff weapons cg_fov 130 cg_fov 120. Thinshaft zoomfov is 300. Any idea what would my sens and accel would look like with these values?

( Edit: I found some math stuff by czm but I'm retarded in maths :( )

not that im aware of zealot, wouldnt make any difference, the script really shined in ctf and now ctf is shit in aus.

iirc id locked or capped the pitch/yawspeed cmds which were necessary for the script to work
