Hey guys! Nick here. We have seen quite a few emails regarding the weight of the mouse so I would like to clear that up on facebook first.

As a correction to the above posted weight of 230g for the mouse, the actual weight numbers of the mouse is below:

Cable/Weights Included: 165g
Cable/Weights Removed: 75g

The original weight above was posted by a staff member that was looking at the total package weight (this is the total weight of the retail pack and it's contents).

We have found that the community, in whole, is literally split down the middle on what style mouse they prefer. With that said, we have already begun work on our next mouse model which will be your "claw grip" style similar to your WMO/1.1/Xai."

CM released a firmware update a couple of days ago that was supposed to fix the "square bug". Guess what? It killed 800 DPI completely. What does that say about these guys? Certainly not that they know what they are doing :(

When we originally described the positive acceleration, I suppose we didn't fully describe exactly what was recorded. We understand how the community feels about any sort of acceleration which was one of our main drives behind the internal workings of the Valor and the 3090 sensor.

To better clarify, in a more understandable way, the positive acceleration with the ADNS-3090 sensor after our rework comes out to around 0.3-0.5%. To compare, 100% acceleration would be moving your mouse 1 complete inch and having the acceleration carry your movement as if you were moving 2 inches. You typically start to FEEL acceleration anywhere from 5-7% depending on how familiar you are with your movement. The only reason we originally stated there was any positive acceleration was because if we claimed there wasn't, we would be lying :).

The DPI steps were chosen simply based on maximum performance. The ADNS-3090 at 400/450dpi proves to be a bit too unstable for our likings, producing quite a bit of positive acceleration that would be too difficult to work out. The steps we are using have proven to be the best performing with little to no side effects and helps cater to everyone's preferences.

I hope this better clarifies things Avi. We have put a lot of time behind the internals of the Valor and are certain that it's looks, performance, and overall feel will satisfy the bulk of the core gaming community :).

Firstly, we would like to greatly apologize for the delay/lack of updates regarding pre-ordering of the Valor and its shipping status. We understand there are many of you who are anxiously waiting and we greatly appreciate your patience. As the delays we are experiencing are unforeseen, we wanted to provide you with complete and accurate information rather than scattered or incomplete details regarding your order’s status.

To further clarify, the EARLIEST estimated ship date which we provided was May 15th with the latest ship date being May 31st. These dates were drawn up based on several factors which included logistics (shipping) and federal certifications in several countries that vary in time. As we stated before, the total estimated time frame was between 5/15 & 5/31.

Our primary shipment for the Valor has been delayed due to unforeseen nature issues resulting from the extreme flooding throughout the Mississippi river; a primary logistics channel for overseas shipments to the Midwest. Original estimates allowed us to pin point the arrival date within 24 to 48 hours however due to the sheer magnitude of this natural disaster, we are gauging that the primary shipment will arrive and be cleared within the first week of June. We have been 100% assured by our logistics partner that our shipment will surpass and clear the delays by this time.

To further ensure we avoid any additional delay, we have arranged for a small emergency batch to be manufactured and sent directly to our office via express air shipping in the event the primary shipment surpasses our original estimation date.

Furthermore, we will be making it a point to update our customer base and community outlets every 48 hours with direct information on the current status of the Valor release. Mouse “Wobble”
From our observation, this issue is a result from the top shell pieces being over torque’d to the bottom base thus resulting in the bottom base slightly bending; thus causing the wobble. This issue is best seen on flat, hard surfaces with few users feeling it on cloth surfaces… especially our Talent mouse pad. Not all Valor’s have this issue.
Resolution: Users looking for a quick resolution can apply an extra mouse skate to only ONE of the left or right mouse skates (double-upping the skates in theory). These are the smallest skates found to the left or right of the sensor. An extra set of skates was provided with each and every Valor so each user should be able to accomplish this without a problem. Performance of the Valor will not be affected in any way with this doubled skate.

An extra set of skates will be provided free of charge to users who need to perform this procedure.

In addition, we are already taking the necessary steps to adjust this issue directly from the factory to avoid this issue in the future.

Negative Acceleration (mostly @ 500dpi)
Firstly, let me start by apologizing to all of the users who are experiencing this issue. I can’t even begin to explain the hard work which went in to the development of this sensor and its firmware prior to release. The firmware for the Valor was developed in conjunction with Avago Technologies as well as a third-party to ensure we could accomplish what has not yet been done with this sensor and that was create flawless movement at a very low DPI setting; a DPI setting lower than what was originally designed (or even expected) this sensor would be used at.
Prior to shipment, with very extensive testing, we were very satisfied with the results and believed we accomplished our goal. These tests included readings of negative acceleration, positive acceleration, lift-off distance, perfect control, malfunction speed, and DPI loss.

Starting last night and in to this morning, we have been in direct contact with several engineers at our manufacture going over and analyzing data in an effort to locate this issue and resolve it as soon as possible. I have also personally been in contact with our engineer at Avago who has had involvement with the firmware development for the Valor.

Also, to confirm, the firmware of the Valor is updatable.

This is an absolute top priority for us until a resolution is found. We have added additional quality control checks and requirements for outgoing shipments which includes testing for the negative acceleration.

I understand that this can be a frustrating time for some of you especially after the unforeseen delays leading up to the actual release of the Valor. This project for us has been long, enduring, and taxing until this very day but we are confident and motivated in knowing we are able to produce a product which will fit the likings of many users.

In retrospect, and I am not saying this as an excuse in any which way, but the Valor is a mouse which is not only a first to us as a company but a first in some ways to this vast and complex industry. Like a new car, a mouse with new technologies requires just as much tweaking and bug fixes for it to work just as well as it was dreamt. Sure we could of gone down the road other companies and mouse manufactures have done hundreds of times before as a “safe” bet but we know that is not what you, as gamers, were calling for and while I know the Valor is not what you may or may not have been calling for either... I will be sure to see these fixes through to the very end until absolute functionality is confirmed.
