Give quake3 spawn system.

q3 one had issues too, random not closes is the fairest option 1v1 will ever get

you'll never get the spawns fair tbh.. it's either forced so the enemy will know how to control you or random and you may get spawnfragged easy. The only thing that bothers me is there should be semi forced spawns at start of each game so one player doesn't just spawn in control of the map.

What qualifies your list as being better than others? Here are a few questions to help:

1. What makes your suggestion for hit box size better than current other peoples suggestions?
2. What makes your suggestion for spawn changes better than the current or other peoples suggestions?
3. What makes your suggestion for rocket launcher splash and speed better than current or other peoples suggestions?

...Continue to ask the same question for each of your suggestions.

Before then asking yourself what qualifies "rushhh" to make all of those suggestions, and within that take what you consider to be "the best" of other peoples suggestions and put them in a list, suggestions that differ to names like "noctis" who has already contributed to the game amongst others?

Considering you ended with "/whine" i can only assume that you wrote this list and are now trying to make yourself look innocent and free of bias judgments, didn't work though.

I never said any of my ideas were better. I never said anything about this being a collective pool of ideas. This is a pooling of ideas that I thought would make the game better. This is a journal after all.

I would like seeing random spawns again because it is still possible to "force" spawns on some maps which lead to frags that can determine the outcome of the game. I'd rather a player win by a lucky random spawn frag than winning due to him abusing the fact that you can force spawns for easy kills. The forcing isn't 100% on all the maps, but its close enough that it can be abused.

Why would you disagree about plasma? It's absolutely useless unless you're on LAN at the moment. In q3 it was a VIABLE weapon that could be used to take out enemies quickly, now it's only use is spamming corridors and teleporter exits...

Slower rockets and reduced splash essentially will buff plasma, lg, and shotgun. Because of the radius and amount of damage that is produced due to the speed of the projectile, it's a midrange defensive weapon. The rocketlauncher _should_ be a close/midrange offensive weapon. Lowering all these variables makes pushing enemies away much more difficult.

4/5 Right now the rail can be used in almost any situation and still be the best weapon for it. Increasing reload time and damage will actually nerf the gun (if the osp ammo system is introduced) and help make it the long/midrange gun that it should be.

It just needs to go, it has no place in the game at all (aside from maybe like, instafreeze).

This is just personal preference, I just think that a very small reduction will help out the gameplay if the rest of these thoughts were instated.

This is pretty much a must, imo. Right now you can stand on rl for 10 sec in duel and have 20 rockets, which can last you for a good few minutes if you're playing smart and defensive. There is absolutely no emphasis on item or ammo control in the game (duel), and this seems the most obvious fix.

...? It'd be a nice feature. The ability to have whatever you want picmipped or not is a good customization option.

Why? Because SOME people don't like keel, or tankjr. Crash and Visor are not optimal enemy models either. Sarge has a very distinct jump sound, and distinct damage taken sound. I found sarge the best enemymodel for "me" when playing q3. I just want to see more choices...

1 i dont know what was it like before in ql/mods of q3 but the system seems to be quite ok for me. oh and i think random spawns would make the game, well, more random, thus less skill/knowledge/experience/whatever-rewarding.

I would lower the RL knockback a little, other than that I agree :)

why do people want both, you'll over nerf it, either lower one or the other

A lot of the balance issues with TDM are down to the spawn system, bring back spawn furthest from death like q3!

really don't see what the advantage of the current spawnsystem over q3's is supposed to be. also agree with the starting spawns needing to get fixed.

plasma is good it destroys ppl in 2 seconds , i usualy ping 50 and it feels fine Oo, could do with a slightly reduced dmg and faster projectile speed / fire rate tho
