The dpi buttons on my mx518 work somewhat randomly (e.g. sometimes it changes to 400 and no matter how many times I click it won't change to 1800).

After the format I didn't install setpoint. Actually I use default windows driver and I'm sure that it uses 800 dpi, but It just not feel as it should. It's a small change in sens. When I turn on pc I don't have to turn on the game to feel is it good or bad (sens). Do you think that something is going wrong with the wire (but it should dc completely mouse I guess)? I thought it's some kind of placebo but after reading some posts in logitech's forum I see that it's not only my feeling.

fuck setpoint use old mouseware, have EM_EXEC.EXE running in task manager.

My mouse feels the same every time, nothing wrong with it.

I don't want to use any drivers. The problem is that I don't change anything and I get some random sens changes ...

Well, today while playing some ca my sens changed every few minutes. Little jumps or bigger ones (mid-strafe or for a longer time). Is this the infamous sens bug?

try with another mouse and do the usual accel checks. If it keeps changing randomly we'll throw a few more cushions around down here in hell so you can wait comfortably for nothing to happen.

i believe jamalz said the only fix is to make new accounts with brand new configs until it works.

I had this bug twice. First time was right out of closed beta, i tried some stuff to fix the problem, but it didn't work. (new os/diff mouse/dpi/usb rate)

I uninstalled quakelive from firefox and ie and ran quakelive with prism and made a new config. The problem disappeared. I recently got this bug again after a quakelive update (did not touch a thing on my computer, its %100 from the update with facebook tags).

So i did the same thing, made a new account and config, uninstalled again and ran prism and the bug is gone.

It's just good that I can get adjusted to new configs easy. Same mouse, same pc, same windows.

The bug is caused by Account | config | browser

1 of these or a combination of all.

yeah, had pretty much the same answer using a friend's account a few months ago, only actually bothered to submit a ticket with mine a few days ago.
