Pretty sure he was practising ztn because ugc had 5 maps in the mappool and bo5 planned initially.

He ended up dropping it in all of his games so he won't mind too much i recon.

Just because Dreamhack removed it doesn't mean ztn won't come up at some competition.
A little practice never hurts and might prove to be useful in the long run!

Besides Zotaq and whatever other cups still have ztn in their mappool. Having one more strong map under his belt strenx can win more from the sundays between now and Dreamhack than he might win at Dreamhack itself.

i really hope other lans follow the trend and remove it as well
for me players seem to get enough of it too, i've not seen more than 3 games on it in total through the whole time of ugc.

anyway, practicing a weak map of strenx's won't hurt him no matter what.

if we follow your logic and look at IEM Euro/IEM World championship: dismemberment should stay in the map pool forever? it was almost never dropped and the deciding map in almost every match (bo5 AND bo3) but on the other hand maps that weren't played that much (t4, ztn) had seen the best games apart from aerowalk, because only masters on it wouldn't drop them (rapha, cypher, cooller, spart1e)

for me it's too much compromise: alltimes t7 and dismemberment :((
