BC2 was a good game to kill some time on multiplayer.Reasons as to why the majority prefers it to cod -> It's rather more fast paced on foot and vehicle, has better ironsights and a destroyable terrain.

However, DICE has been receiving a lot of complaints by the community because of their shitty (1,5gb+) patches which apparently produce more bugs instead of actually fixing them. It lacks valuable features like console, config modifictation, recording, ss, spectating and other stuff which kinda kills the game from a competitive point of view.

I won't be buying it unless they offer something different other than a new campaign. So far it looks like a slightly polished yet identical version of bc2.

edit: Forgot to mention that it "killed" my graphics card because I was alt-tabbing/minimizing quite often - weird. Nonetheless I summoned jesus and managed to resurrect it.

The fight was a quick time event in another trailer where you had to right or left click with pop ups, not sure if they took that out or disabled the UI for this trailer.
This looks pretty but not that exciting. No one cares about the single player anyway.

I really enjoy the BF Bad Company 2 MP gameplay - it's a great casual game to fire up & play around in tanks, fly UAVs & generally blow shit up. The pace is a lot faster than the CoD series and due to the explodable terrain you seem to have less campers. Hours of fun to be had - will invest! :O)

Are you serious? The pace of BFBC2 is more faster then in CoD?

Not a big fan of both, but played both of them and to me BFBC2 is slower then any CoD I played (4,5,7).

But maybe I just play with randoms and have no good squad to spawn me right into the battle...

I think the only way I would get BF3 is if project reality moved over to it. Otherwise vanilla battlefield gameplay has anyways been complete shit. That includes BC2.

I've seen the same thing, all of my friends who got into gaming in the post-quake cs era love cod and stuff whereas i got into doom, quake, duke nukem etc way before they got into gaming at all.

That's the funny thing, the older one is the one who was all hyped up, whereas his younger brother, who started to play videogames basically when the first iraq/nam/oh_so_hero games were released is bored of all that shit.

The thing about realistic shooters is, that they always show technical progress beeing made in gaming industry, so that's why they are so popular, kids are comparing a smallest details of new games like some little shit flashes and stuff, creaming their pants every time they see something new, although they still play same gameplay model (doesnt really apply to battlefield games tho, at least multiplayer, prolly never gonna press sp button if I would buy this game, same like with BC2)
Anyway playing same gameplay over and over again got some advantages for those kids, cause progress they made on other game, smoothly transfers to new shit they buy, so they think that they are becoming "pros" using leet speak and trolling on chats in
meme-zeriton style.
This is enought for developer studios to realize that relasing new cod-clone is really proffitable, so they spam them with increasing speed :X


Anyway - Im fan of vehicle gameplay in battlefield series since very beginning, when noone heard about cod, and propably im gonna give it a shot, had really great time in basically most of bf games until they got screwed up by patches, or some no-lifing kids got to level 50 using some shit perks after like 3-4 months of my abscence ( bf2 and bc2 respectively ;p )
