because thru-rails have to do with either hitbox sizes relative to the model, or the netcode (the hitbox trailing behind the model).
this is a nade bouncing off a dude, which means it hit (which is already completely different), but didnt register as a hit on the model, but instead a normal surface.
even if they have to do with the netcode (i dont know if the nade does), they arent "the same" thing. theyre barely similar.

if this was captured from the demo, then its accurate. if its his pov, its slightly inaccurate, but i dont think its possible for the client to be _THAT_ wrong.
ive seen stuff like this before though. its a bug, and it did bounce off of the other player.
someone replace that nade with a troll face PLEASE! something similar hapenned to me, i was in warmup with a mate, and he went afk, so i shooted some nades against him and one of them got stuck between the model and the wall. Would be awessome if the nade bounced of the enemy model and caused a suicide :>
happened to me in tdm yesterday, the grenade didnt flip away like this, but it lost all velocity and just dropped down behind the player. not sure how this can happen, super weird
