those 1posters trying to sell stuff off ebay should be banned imo, either that or open up a trade forum for these sorts of posts.

g1 has a nicer case, 800dpi by default and iirc wasn't too friendly to overclocking usb hz. when set to 500hz the hz fluctuates between 500 oder 250hz, like with the mx310 and 510.

mx300 also has the highest perfect control speed of any mouse when the usb is >250hz, alongside the 1800dpi deathadder and its sibling the mx500.
So if you use a very low sense with no accel it would be worthwhile getting an mx300, other than that its not really worthwhile imo.

is there any difference in perfect control and malfunction speed when logitech g1's polling rate is overclocked to more than 125hz?

e: before you go all "WELL HE DIDNT OVERCLOCK IT!", it states in the article that if oc'ing didnt provide different results, he wouldnt post them.
thus, oc'ing g1 doesnt change anything

overclocks perfectly here, although the mouse is just standing around (as in laying in a box) because I don't like the shape that much..

nah, it doesn't fluctuate - it stays at a constant 430 or something, however

It should fit the medium flat rate box. But at 45.50, that's your call..
