Another one for my collection

I just watched this and I ask myself just this one question...where's the action? I just see people sitting behind boxes and waiting for backs to shoot at. No fun at all!
And the music? Come on, not suitable for CS methinks, the soundtrack for this .avi should be something like...gregorian chants.

This is a cs movie, I imagine your a quaker and thats k, quake rocks but cs isnt quake. If your a cs player and you think you own them so bad, your a...

Actually, I'm both and I enjoy playing both games (q3 & cs) But when it comes to watching action from a game I just think that CS isn't as exciting as watching a .avi from let's say q3.

I agree on q3>cs in avi, but this is a great avi to watch if your a cs player, its so hard to make em.

Sure, they aren't NiP... but who is?
The music was the thing that made the movie intense... even when they sat behind a cratte or something waiting for the opponents to pass by, it was intense... just because of the music.

as #2 said this movie sucks - no action at all!!! I even don't think it is because the players suck, i do think its in the game it's just not possible to create a good movie for cs. I'd like to be prooven wrong. Just post a really good cs movie and i will change my opinion.

Thats exactly what I thought while waiting for it to download, "Can you create an entertaining movie using cs?". The answer is yes, you can...i found the movie very entertaining, nice hits, nice sound and just overall pretty nice.

Note that this was the first movie and the first video-related "project" that the author has done, so I'm looking forward to his next projects(if there are any....)

I never said this movie sucked! I merely said that it does not bring me any excitement...I like the music and such, but it isn't suitable for something that looks like it's moving at the speed of a snail :)

They at least have the skill to qualify for the CPL WC and get seeded #16, unfortunalately, they didn't manage to get sponsors to fly them over there.(story)

I found NOTHING interesting in this movie. It's a shame that there you can't do anything close to impressive in the biggest game at the moment.

I just saw a great parody on the CS movies...
It was in a Quake3 movie called 'Back_to_the_Arena_DIVX.avi' (downloaded it through P2P, so no idea where to download it).

In the middle of the movie, it is interrupted by a CNN newsbroadcast about the ongoing hostage situation.

Let me try to type what the newsreader said (don't mind my German spelling please):

Wir unterbrechen das spannenden Finale von Back to the Arena fur ein Update aus den Counter-Strike Geiseldrama. Eine super spannende Wending hat sich ergeben. Der Terrorist in der Halle is stehen gebleben und hat sich hingekneet, um auf der Counter-Terrorist der for der Halle steht, zur warten. Doch, er weist nicht das diese sich einer Sharfshutzer dar verwordet und nun auf der Dach gegenuber auf der Terroristen wartet. Nun das kan noch langer dauren. Sehen sich die Suzammenvassung an oder kucken sich selber an in dieser spannender Spiel. Counter-Strike ein killer Game.

Counter-Strike a killer game!

I've played CS a whole 10 minutes and then went back to q3. However, I enjoyed the movie. Watching skilled players in just about any game is fun.

I've never watched nor played any CS at all. Downloading this to see what all the fuzz is about actually.

Any more CS movies out there?

Actually this demo is a bad one to show CS player's skills. All they did in this movie was 30 bullets bursts, the way newbies do it.

If top CS-players would create same kind of demos as top Q3-players are doing, they would be completelly different.

And no, HL engine doesn't have the possibility to create same kind of demos as Q3 does - yet.

MurK-cs are top cs players, won the Altec Lansing CAL Qualifier for CPL WC and got seeded #16 for CPL WC.....weren't able to attend due to sponsor problems..

Hehe Yak, this is by no means a 100% greatest shots made by MurK/ccp movie, Daathian simply wanted to try to make a CS movie and asked for a few good demos. Maybe later he can make a more impressive movie in terms of both skill and presentation. This one was mostly for himself and testing purposes.

Yak as you see we use lot of full auto tacktik. The reason is that most of our online matches in leagues we have to play on american servers. Well bursting with like 120 ms and 4-30 pl isnt the best way to frag there.

Hmm, I found some nice glocking action going on there @ RavenK... Gambler with some nice spray control, and MrRed with a pretty neat awp-shot(blasted [-=NeF=-]WarriorJoe's head of mid-air, for you not-icelandic people, which we choose to call aliens, [-=NeF=-]WarriorJoe is the most adorable little cuddly piece of 13 a year old cute schoolboy, well known within the icelandic CS community as being one of the most annoying little midget you will ever meet...but we all love him though). Ashtray has pretty neat positioning(a nice way of saying #"#%"& camper(no offense Hrolfur baby ;) as a compliment), and last but not least the part when RavenK headshots 3 [.Love.] members after Puppy's midgame taunts of "what are you doing, shaving??" when Ravenkettle was letting time pass in T spawn(the shaving joke is something everyone in Iceland understands ;).

Overall, a pretty enjoyable movie...nothing close to the skills that MurK.Q3 show in their movie, though. But GG Daathian and everyone nevertheless for this cool CS movie.

When you are watching gambler playing that was when we were playing against ck. He totaly owned them. As you can see he used alot of full auto but there he had 130ms. But as you can see we burst alot :p and when we burst we play on lan so we aren´t total newbies.
