I use DA 3.5g and QCK heavy, it tracks perfect. I have a cat, his hair doesn't stick on it. Easy to clean, just throw it in the washing machine or use a wet rug.

I have a British Longhair and it's hair malts off and sticks to my mousemat.

Just pull the mat slightly over the edge of your desk. That's what I do for comfort anyway and edges don't fray :P

The mat was originally frayed when it arrived, but it was free so I can't compain.

And pulling the mat over the edge of the desk would annoy the shit out of me.

Well, I guess it can get kinda irritating but you only have to do a very tiny amount over the edge and it's more comfortable that way - at least for me anyway

My favourite is probably the Qck+, but ironically I'm not using it. I use the allsop at work and the goliathus at home, My mom's using the Qck+

I've used the 4HD and it's a nice fine mat, my WMO tracks on it well. Only problem is the price + size. I got mine for free though. :D

I have I2 its a beautiful mat easy to clean etc but its small and its hard so its not good for wrist and mouse feet. BUT! you can make a good use of it only IF you sink in 4mm big mouse mat. Here is picture. ;)

It will give you more surface to use it and it wont be hard on your wrist. :D

Qck+ is nice mat but again its hard to keep it clean.
If one side of Razer mat has problem then turn mat upside down and use other side. :P

I would say buy both mat and use it like I do ;)

The Mantis Control is rare now? I used to use one but switched to the Goliathus Speed. Is there something about it I am missing? It was a good pad and now I am tempted to bust it out again.

Its hard to find one new , its better than the new goliathus control and it lasts longer :)

Goliathus speed is good basic silky cloth pad. Artisan g3 value edition is nice if u want more speed and rough texture.

Looked at the talent, probably a bit thick for me.

Ordered a Qck+, only £10 so I'll give it a go.

qck+ is cheap, awesome, easily washable/portable.. i love it (and unlike toop, mine is clean but maybe im just not using it for carpentry and eating food.. occasional dust/skin from wrist can be expected)

the problem with the qck+ which i used to own, and the corepad eyepad i have now, is that if ur hands sweat even a little bit the pad surface changes as u play. this is assuming ur wrist rests on the pad. so unless u clean the pad (which admittedly is quite easy since u can just wash it with a toothbrush and some mild soap) once a week or something, the response changes quite drastically. i just washed the pad yday after about 3 months and it became a bit more smooth but also gave a little more friction. took me a while to get used to that feel and i couldnt hit a rail to save my life until i did get used to it again.

i wonder if the qck heavy or the puretrak talent behaves differently. any info on this would be much appreciated.

Basically just put it in the washing machine for the best effect.(can even use machine centrifuge drying mode after the washing itself)
With machine drying it's ready on the next day, with usual drying it could be full of water for few days since it got spongy structure

hey ive done it about 5 or 6 times now and ive had no issues with the clothe. it comes out same as new. as for drying i usually wash it at night before going to bed and just leave it near an air vent overnight. i think if u had to do it quick it would prolly take 2-3 hours near a fan.

I live next to the sea and all the cloth pads that I own behave differently according to the weather :( Not really much I can do about it so I try not to think about it when it feels wrong, or I just don't play.

I've now had this pad for 6+ months and am still loving it. Have tested switching back to other pads like the Talent or Goliathus and they just don't feel quite as nice with the glide ratio. Best mouse pad I can ever recommend to anyone. I have not yet tried the new Artisan Shiden (hard smooth pad) though I've heard great things about it as well.

No problem. Another note is that I get noticeable positive accel on almost any cloth pad with my g9x. The kai.g3 however doesn't.

I got a talent, moving on from a goliathus speed, and I have to say it is awesome. Very thick mousepad, very comfortable, and awesome glide with my DA. I ordered it from their website and got it in a week, definitely recommanded. I've trick qck+ (glide is too rough) and artisan mousepads (really uncomfortable and weird glide).

Dont want frayed edges? G-tf, G-tf speed.

Also the new Razer Goliathus pads are fray-resistant in case you were wondering. This is as of a few weeks now.

Go for the Qck+ imo.

Yes the Goliathus has quite a high level of friciton for a cloth pad, moreso than it's predecessor the Mantis Speed (which I also have).

I guess what would be ideal is a mouse mat equivalent of sujoy's mousescore which is updated every few months for new product releases. Would save trawling the forums for answers or re-posting this same question over and over :P
