On a side note, Enotus Mousetest is a wonderful program, but far from perfect. Sadly the author did not want to update it anymore, but he was generous enough to release the source code - I got it on my hard drive.

So I was wondering if there is a programming person, who
a) Is proficient in the programming language Python
b) wants to give this wonderful mouse test program an upgrade

If you know someone who might do it please ask them.

Hmm. Why does it show my dpi is 200 when actually its 400dpi (or 450dpi , can't remember what DA 3G use) ?

One thing is the dpi gets rounded down. that would be the first thing to improve in the program :>

But here is trick, first get the distance exactly right, then also do not release the mouse button, read the dpi measure when still pressed, then it is accurate.
