Update: The Grand Final between

4Kings and

Reason Gaming will be played tomorrow at 12:00 CDT.

During the last ASUS Spring, the QL TDM Show match was canceled due to delays. The ROCCAT prizes planned for this match now became the prizes for an online TDM Cup organized by the c58 guys. The Team tournament will take place Monday 13th of June, starting at 07:00 CDT. You will be able to register your team on that day from 06:00 CDT after contacting

c58|uaShadow in #asus.ql.

The tournament will use a Double elimination tree, with bo3 matches in WB, bo1 in LB and bo5 for the final. A maximum of 16 teams will be playing. The map list will consist of Deep Inside, Dreadful Place, Grim Dungeons, Hidden fortress, Intervention, Purgatory and Realm of Steel Rats.

Last but not least, the winning team will be rewarded with the prize offered by ROCCAT: Soup (each player of the team will get some!).

Perhaps there might be holidays in some of the countries, and perhaps some of the gamers are students. I just doubt that many TDM teams from Scandinavia/Central Europe region where +80%(?) of the normal TDM teams originate from, will have 4 available players on a Monday 13.00 (UK - West) to 15.00CET (Finland - East).

I would be surprised otherwise. I hope for a big turn up though, of course :)

it's a long weekend for most of europe, if they'd held the cup on sunday chances are most people will be out drinking and it won't exactly work out.

who is bashing them? cause i am not, i love them. i think they have delivered a great streaming experience (justin has far more problems) in the past. still they have fewer quality options than justin, just saying.

yea, the SD streaming is active for partners only, and we've just launched it 2 weeks ago in beta :)

We don't offer so many qualities because we mainly focus on delivering the original HD, instead forcing people on 100mbit watching 240p ;) which makes more sense I believe.
The issues were indeed there, but they're now fixed with release of our new player, which fixes lags automatically for viewer.

Hi d1ablo, you might not know that, but your player _requires_ Flash 10.3. I am unable to watch own3d at work because of how long it takes updates to penetrate the corporate networks.

My first line of defense against the system was Firefox Portable and it had some Flash download - that has Flash 10.0...

However bad justin.tv is (and it's terribad), they have at least one advantage - at least the applet starts everywhere.

Nice comment #141 from Nukm too - so anyone that wants to watch DH this weekend has to talk to Trance privately now? NICE! It's so good that TDM is on the second day - hopefully Saturday's duels will bring enough viewers with problems to implement routing fixes before Sunday for everyone.

admin forced 2 server game, pavel had torrents on during server check and his ping dropped by 50 after admin leaves. i just counted the differences and they werent as rash as i said before, but they could have taken pavel out anytime to lower their average massively

the point is: russian/ukrainian players are used to play with high ping, they dont care if its 80ms or 60ms (solid aim), european players are used to play with 30-40ms. if they (e.i. xt) play with 80ms they even lose vs div3 teams, coz they cant hit shit. in this case it is not fair. so russians (admins) use this huge disadvantage of their opponents (and they fucking know it!).

Because sadly or not, most of the good players play on euro servers(they live in Europe, so normally they will play here) and if you want to play with them you don't have much of a choice, otherwise play vs ua players.... :/

i dont myself believe in the 'they're used to it' thing but seriously, they had lower ping in russia than we had in germany while we had higher ping in russia than they had in germany. its just pavel's shit connection fucking up averages ESPECIALLY when he lags it during server check. they had a few spare players with lower pings to switch in for him aswell, but refused. admin said go to russia or w/o :D

Ability of CIS players to perform well with high pings in no way should be punished by ping disadvantage in offi matches only because of inability of eu players to adapt to high pings. Disadvantage can be only forced by admins. When both servers are unfair to opponents.

it is not "got used to high pings", it is actually "relying more on brain than aim”. You can try it too!! Of course u need more than a good mouse, a nice connection and a steady hand for that.

The problem is that russian players like Pavel plays on euro servers regularly and are used to shit ping like that, while euro players play only on low ping(they don't play on russian servers, you know), and when they are forced to play on 80 ping, they are fucked, because they never play on ping that high, and don't know how to play on it.

This is an assumption, and not based on fact for this particular tournament as I don't know the full story for this. But unfortunately it's the case in most tournaments these days. Admins should grow balls, and players should learn how to read (rules) and to schedule their busy lives :)

Yeah, they should forfeit whatever team doesn't show, and have the team that placed behind them play in their place. No reason to deprive the fans of a good game.

Not showing up to a scheduled match is the kind of unprofessional crap that drives fans away. Imagine if that happened in a truly professional sport - people wait all day to see the game, and then the game is postponed because the players called in sick to school.
