The map files themselves are actually called bloodrun.pak now.

It has replaced what is pretty much an antiquated system with one that's noob friendly sure but makes a lot more sense.

Blood run, campgrounds, Deep Inside...much better :-)

It had something to do with the callvote map command. If you press tab, the name of the map gets auto-completed, kinda useless if all maps are qzdm#

Because calling maps by numbers is stupid, Mr. ESR userid 10707.

cause iD threw away those map numbers and new maps don\t even have map id at all, so it was kinda bound to happen.

wish the interviewer had more eye for the answers and the ability go in-depth in some cases rather than sticking to pre-made questions. or maybe i'm just assuming the interview was done via irc etc. and not by e-mail.

"but in TDM it has killed many aspects which I really liked." maybe i can read between the lines from other answers, so is he referring to the fact that the game is more aim heavy and it has killed or nerfed tactical defensive play? i wish he could've stated what aspects have been killed and by wich changes.
