btw is there any reason to keep using 4:3 besides being used to it?
i recently changed from 5:4 to 16:9 and i love it, you can lower your fov a bit and still have the same horizontal view, but most players seem to stay at 4:3 or whatever
what?
the hud/your view/fov/whatever does not get stretched, why should it be stretched? 16:9 adds some space on both "sides", fov stays the same but you gain a little viewsize on the horizontal.
edit: ah, yeah: you could say widescreen fov 100 is like normal fov 100 on the vertical but more like fov 110 on the horizontal.
yes i can compensate for it manually witha lot of trial and error number guessing. i just put it in to show that ql does strecht hud elements. and you cant fix things like the weapon bar or the text (i am not sure if the text is designed for 4:3 or 16:9 but it does get stretched)
