Hmm.. I have one (Korean) and it's pretty solid. Depends what you want to use it for I guess - I don't really like it for Quake because the prediction is fairly strong and slightly higher liftoff than 1.1 etc., but the sensor in general is smooth and fine with small sensitivity etc.

Unless the old non-Korean 800 dpi ones don't have prediction? But I wouldn't have thought that was the case.

I wonder, if they just meant the cable to be ~15% lighter, or the mouse itself.

i mean how much does a MX518 weight, 110g or something?
The G400 would only weight 95g then, and i can't imagine where they could safe 15g on the shell.

ec2 is very well built, but those huge feet may alienate you

My main gripes about it were prediction ( couldn't really do microcorrections to my aim, headshots felt unatural, small difference but still .... ) and those stupid gay glossy sides :(

How's the max speed on the EC1/EC2? The manufacturer spec only lists it at 40ips (1m/s, ugh), but other people have placed this number much higher. Also, apparently build-quality issues were mostly corrected in the newer ones.

Abyssus: Possibility. How does it track on a Puretrak Talent?

Salmosa: Looks really awkward to hold...its like the entire thing is the buttons. :/

Spawn: No more CM products for me. Everything I've bought from them has turned to shit.

g1: Actually considered one of these. All the sites I can find selling them are either Chinese or have names like "mostbuying.com". ಠ_ಠ

Tried a WMO for a while too, had a lot of issues with it. It felt really nice, but the max speed/control was a problem for me. IME has the same sensor, right?

Going to look into the EC2 some more. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't feel like prediction/drift control would be a very big issue for me. At 51cm/360 I'm not exactly making a lot of tiny adjustments. Not by most people's standards anyway. Glossy sides don't bother me either, since I work for an automotive and home paint company. If I really like a mouse and really hate the finish I will just redo it myself. :D

spawn is decent and cheap, you shouldn't act the way you're acting. any brand produced some successful and failed products - to avoid those bad ones you should read reviews.

yeah imo and ime have got the same sensor

no prediction is considered to be a pain with a very high high-sensitivity, while it is being said that it helps those people that use a low sensitivity.

I'm not too keen on the shape of the Spawn. Its not so much the quality of their products, but the quality of customer support. When my CM mousepad started rippling and falling apart in under 9 months, they called this "normal wear and tear" and refused to replace a fucking $20 mousepad.

Maybe I'm just too picky, idk. My father is the same way - McDonald's put onions on his burger or something like 10 years ago and he's never been back since. I've seen him drive 20 miles to pick up a pizza because he wouldn't go to the nearby place that was rude to him once. :D Genetic or something.

kinzu is the worst shit ever, specialy for low sensitivity players. You should NEVER buy steelseries mice anyway, they are all craps.

They managed to make the worst mouse ever made with that kinzu and they claims they make gear for gamers.

even a cheap laptop minimouse is 1000x better.

Abyssus is too small, and it only worked good on Goliathus Speed. I missed easy shots on it and it was very uncomfortable to use.

Now I'm on MX518, after trying MS 1.1 / 3.0, DA 3.5, Logitech G5, Xai.

Did you overclock your USB port when you used the WMO? It increases the perfect control quite a bit. I use a low sens (but I'm using accel so my 360 is a bit smaller than yours) 2 sens 400 dpi m_yaw .022 110 FOV.

Overclocking the USB is pretty much required if you use it.

id recommend but mine lasted only for 2 weeks... now waiting for a warranty change for 3 weeks lol.
otherwise in that 2 weeks it was really good. i wanted an 1.1 but couldnt find anywhere.

Kinzu is tempting. Idk man. I use the exact same sensitivity as Strenx, and the weird accel issues obviously work out for him. I wish there was some quantitative way to measure mouse accel so I could set up my current one to handle like that and see if I'd be ok with it.

Weird ! as a Razer addict I tried the abyssus, broke 2 of them in 1 month (same problem: left button broke), then switched to kinzu and kept it since almonst 1 year now. thought it was quite robust.

I have no problem of "acceleration" so far. oh wait, I dont use accel :p

I am also a low sensitivity player.

I need:
lightweight ----------->it feels lighter than the wmo (somewhere about 75-80 grams)
small/medium size ----------->its alot smaller than the wmo, its like the logitech m100

preferably $60 or under -----------> i dunno how much but its not expensive
easy to hold on to (as in picking it up to re-center, current Sentinel Advance is fucking horrible about this) ----------->easy cuz its small and light

Don't need:
more than 400-800 dpi ----------->dont worry it has neg accel over 800 dpi it goes to 3200 but 400/800 @ 500 hz it doesnt have negaccel (500 hz is the only it will function)
87 buttons (three is plenty) ----------->ye well it has7 but nvm
dumb fucking lights ----------->ye well it can cycle throu 7 colors of light:D its like a dumb xmas three but you can turn that off

most important thing is its plain roccat kova, and not the plus version which is bigger and almost as heavy as an 518

Using an IME 3.0 at the moment. I took apart my CM sentinel advance and stripped all of the bullshit out of it (most of the LEDs, the goofy LCD screen, dpi buttons, etc) and its now actually a bit lighter than the IME.

I have a WMO I've been using too, and after getting used to it I fucking LOVE this mouse. Problem is that I opened it up once to remove an old lump of solder that was shorting it out, and then again to see if it would be possible to replace the microswitches. Now the little plastic tabs that hold the front of the shell together are broken off, and I cant get it to stay tight. It always comes up a little bit and makes the buttons impossible to click. If anyone knows how to fix it, that would be awesome. Otherwise I might just see if I can epoxy this motherfucker back together.
