The VODs will be working soon again. My streaming partner regame.tv changed some server stuff and so the VODs cant be watched by some guys.

regame.tv dns propagation for cdn.regame.tv is stil in progress. Change started last friday and maximum duration is 72 hours. Should be the last day with this kind of problems as we moved all static content to our level3.com cdn

Strenx needs some more confidence! He can very realisticly reach TOP-3 which would leave him with a profit even if he has to pay for part of the costs (I'm asuming fnatic could at least contribute some)

Most of the pros are playing because of the competition and not because of the money, if they would be after the money they would have been long gone for CS 1.6, SCII or LoL. Prizemoney in QL is so pathetic that even the 1st place sometimes can berely cover the expences for the tournament.

If u live in eastern europe and your sponsors provide trips it can be really a possible career choice for you to just play quake, atleast it was for last 2 years..

Quality of living is so low on those eastern block countries that even QL pricepools are big in their eyes.

You're right, but only partially. It's not always have to be the matter of "quality of life" that defines the attractiveness of quake's prizes here in eastern Europe. We earn much less than you guys in Finland, but in exchange prices here are at least partially reasonable, adequate to our earnings. That's why salaries in foreign currencies remain so desired. But of course, the proportion of those really poor is here a great deal bigger, that's why I'd agree with you.

But generally speaking and using harming simplification, try to consider the percentage of suicides and alcohol addicts in Scandinavian countries. One can say it's a straight result of your finest "quality of life" :)

Only a career choice in the short-term. You can't retire on the money you make playing Quake (or probably any other esport, aside from possibly Starcraft in Korea). If you're young enough though, you probably wouldn't consider your future too much.

Strenx doesnt really have to train much, not more then he does anyway. Quakecon is one of the few events where you can actually win a lot of money.

He aint in top5 at the moment, so he should train quite hard to be surely placing in top3... and even if ur in topshape, sometimes shit happens...

Cooller was going to negotiate with some ppl concearning picking up Strenx, but after some features of Strenx's personal attitude he dropped that idea

Strenx is a fantastic quaker, he showed the ability to evolve in tactics and personality. At the beginning he was an childish aim whore fag. At the end he became a tactician with amazing aim and confidence in himself to not back down vs the best of the best.

I would hate to see him leave the scene. I really like his personality and his game style.

QuakeLive and Quake 3 Arena was dropped out of many events. So fanatic do not think it is more worthwhile in keep sending him (a talented pro-player) to Quakelive tournaments.

It's sad, but Quakelive already out of fashion. Quakelive died like all other Quake series. :(
