If you've tried three different ISP's with the same results I would get an electrician from your current ISP to check the in-house installation.

I also moved house in the meantime same problems still occured.

Ok, have you tried a different router? Often times with fiber people have a cheap router that can't handle it very well and they think it's their connection.

I take it you are using a wire and not wireless? I think you need to start eliminating things, try pinging in dos, try a different computer on the same line, neighbours have the same problems? etc. ISP btw?

but the conclusion pretty much sums it up: max. 2 or 3 percent lower ping and 1 or 2 percent better fps are not worth what bigfoot charges for their cards

I am directly in the modem, it's a new modem, i am using a cable i am not wireless, i only have 1 computer where i can test it on, i am on windows XP and on the same pc ive always been on. My isp is: UPC(now) and my neighbours who have UPC do not experience the same problems. Im not getting a bigfoot killer network card and i'm probably just going to reinstall windows.

Bigfoot killer and stuffz like that are just gimmicks, will do nothing more than a a cheap card (for upc Docsis3 modems, I recommend a TPLINK with a realtek chip on it).
Save your money, and buy some flowers for your GF.

ps.: In fact, I have a spare TG-3468, could send it to you for free, just dunno how much that would cost, perhaps its better if you just get it there.

Just to add - OP, I'm using my TP-Link router and I've never have/had any issue with my network, my ping is stay on less than 20 ingame even when the other 2 computer at home are on the net.

Regarding the swedish servers, there are lag spikes there it's a server side problem that id can't be bothered to fix.

First of all, try a different modem.
If that does not help: It is possible that there is a faulty power supply operating in your house, causing jamming of other electronic devices (such as your modem).
Typically, such jamming devices are faulty computer power supplies or satellite/cable tv receivers.
Try the following: unplug all unneeded electroninc devices from your electricity network and check if the problem persists.

You should always use surge protected sockets for your computer equipments. This kind of things mostly got noise filtration, and they also block the noises of the outlets from each other as well.
It's worth every penny!. (I got a bunch from Philips, they were pretty cheap)

I built a noise filter (with higher attenuation than equipment you can buy) myself for my ADSL modem, which got distorted by an unidentifyable source (maybe neighbors). After I installed the filter, the several daily resyncs were gone.

you should first identify where the problem is. Try ping plotter or winmtr for that.

Most modems have a webpage you can access. On there might be information about your line quality (Not sure what you're using. cable, dsl, fiber etc.).

It might have something about bit error rate which might point to a wiring problem.

Not enough info to help further. Maybe a ping test using a large packet size might show if there is any packet loss or not.

That netgraph is very noisy. It's not about the latency being 32ms or 62ms, it's the inconsistency there, the weak point of QL's netcode. Imo he probably warps like hell.

It was temporary and since I figured out it wasn't fixed I've been trying to fix it again I thought it was heat at first since my CPU got really warm but i fixed that now and its still the same bad lag I think the only option I still haven't tried is to try it with another PC and/or contact my ISP which I don't think it's their fault as I had another before I took this one with the same problems.

- borrow a laptop or PC for a day or for weekend if it's possible, and when the net is shit on your PC, quickly check if it's the same with the laptop or not.

- if it's the same with the laptop and this is indeed your third ISP with the very same problem, you or somebody in the house have a faulty electrical equipment, this is something what's almost impossible to find without proper electrician tools:( Try turning off everything else (freezer, lights, everything including your PC) and see if it's turns stable on the laptop. If it's coming from the neighbours, buy a shotgun and pay a visit:)
(also make sure you only use grounded power sockets for your computers, but I think it's a strick regulation in the EU anyway!)
Please note that it's also possible that your modem is malfuctioning, but receiving a crap modem from 3 different ISPs would be a miracle imo..

- if it's only shit on your machine, you have to test and replace parts one by one. I would start with the monitor, just enter a quakelive server when your net is shit, start recording a demo, turn off monitor and record some minutes and when you are done, just replay the demo in wolfcam and check the lagometer if it's ok or not.
Next is the network card, because that's cheap.. buy one (what I suggested), and if it's still shit just exchange it in the shop for a good quality PSU (ask for any brand with Delta or FSP parts inside, they are good for sure).. if it's still shit then you have to test each part one by one (including the mainboard) or bring the PC into a service if you are not familiar with this kind of things..

I think it's not possible that it's your Internet, since this is your third ISP, so that's why I suggest you search for a faulty equipment or parts

oh, one more thing....

iirc, in some cities in your country, there are shared fiber optic lines (rings) (that means many ISP uses the same infrastructure).
If that's the case, it doesn't really matter what ISP you use, since they will all use the same crowded lines, they just give you a different modem.
Try to explain your problem to a tech guy at your isp, it's possible that a card went bad in the CTMS on the street or something. Don't let them give you the help-desk, because they know nothing about this kind of things;), but first just make sure that your PC is fine:)
