The G500 does not have prediction enabled, you can enable it if you want through software. The G5 you where using did have prediction though.

I found the Deathadder 1800 dpi would skip pixels on some surfaces at lower DPI's it also had high lift off. Its a heavy mouse for its size and found it uncomfortable over long game matches, the smooth sides get sweaty and slippery adding to the high lift off frustrations. I gave mine to my son, he seems to like it. Not sure why the DA mouse is liked so much. /shrug

I'm waiting to see if the Puretrak Valor gets its bugs ironed out, I may go that route. In the mean time I'm using the G500, except for some slight pos acceleration its been working flawless "same sensor as the G9X, and grip of the MX518.

the g500's shape is not exactly the shape of the mx518, I prefer the latter.
also the coating and side grip materials are totally different and not everyone owes to like them as they are in the g500.
moreover, the sensor placement in the g500 is as shit as it is in the g5 (not in the center of the mouse).

G500 is nice but takes a few days to adjust to, I use palm grip also and it was fine for that
You may also want to try the IME 3.0, brilliant mouse, just shaped for the palm

nope, same sensor as in the 3.5g

I recommend you buy the original, the black edition is very slippery :)
