abyssus, claw...it's a great mouse and hand doesn't get tired.

Ive always used claw grip. First with wmo 1.1a then with deathadder, then abyssus and now with THE best mouse ever! - the kinzuadder :) claw grip is the one for me. No problems, only benefits.

Claw grip is really the best, especially if you like that robotic mini-flicks style Cypher, Cooller, Avek has. And you can play for really long with it, just need to position your elbow right. I'd recomment you to search vods of how this claw-grippers hold their mice on youtube.

so personal really, gotta say tho i play my best when i have a really solid grip on my spawn wich can be a bit taxing, and even hurts my pinky a bit after a few hours. gotta give up comfort if u wanna be pro :>

Their hand might get tired with abyssus, because they have to use more and more force to hold it when the sides get sweaty.

no matter of game, i switch between palm and claw and fingertip grabs... i use what is the most comfortable for me atm

I play somewhere between claw and palm, never have problems with my mouse hand. My keyboard hand seizes up after 90 minutes or so, and I usually have to take a 5 minute break in between maps.

well seeing as ur saying "changing settings is retarded" in a thread about mouse-grip i think is easily relatable.

i mean, why not change settings? its like its gonna decrease your aim, and if it does, u are always available to change back. since i started playing quakelive ive increased about 10% lg and i have changed settings about a hundred times. i dont think changing settings magicly boosted my aim, but im sure it didnt hurt.

i sincerely don't think settings help in any way, unless you have something ridiculous like thunda mentioned, 5cm@360 or 40cm@360
i've played in different computers, and even tho i never bothered to change the settings in my cfg, i've tried other pros cfg's, just to see how did it feel, and honestly, my acc didn't change at all, i can aim as good ( or as bad ) with my cfg than with rapha's or strenx's.

At no point did I imply that I believe changing grip will make me better at video games. My current mouse is dying and I do not want the successor to the g5, the g500. Purchasing an abyssus would require me to change my mouse grip.

that's because you are shit. I wanna see you hit airrockets with sens 5, accel 0.1 (450dpi) and strenx settings (sens 1, 800dpi).

If you are comfortable with something stick with it. However, you can either force settings and say: Okay, this might work in the long term OR you constantly change and figure out what suits you best. Most importantly is that you should stick to something at some point but not changing anything at all will not get you anywhere. You need some base and then move from there and do minor tweaks.

Different GFX; Crosshairs and sens/accel do influence aiming. The same applies to movement etc. try to play with fov 90 and hit rockets/move around the map when you are used to 105. It is not going to work out well.

I would say the opposite is true.
If a player kept the settings he started with playing quake, he most likely still play with 5cm@360°, hitting 20% lg, 30% rail and call everyone else a cheater.

In my opinion, many players with an actual bad aim could improve alot in this regard if they would rethink their settings.
Not only the mousesettings, but also things like table- and chair height and if it might better to rest the arm on the table, rather than only the wrist...

Even though I do it, I agree with you. Ingame you shouldn't give too shits about how you hold a mouse or which finger you pick your nose with.

When I'm outa game though, I do occasionally think about how I missed every shot that last game or how I was on fire hitting everything. Sometimes it can be something as silly as my chair was more upright or my arm wasn't tense
