BUY A BIGGER MOUSEPAD, USE ACCEL OR LEARN TO USE YOUR WRIST/ARM AND NOT JUST YOUR FINGERS.

Your turns look more slugglish than strenx's or winz's povs and they both use at least twice as much cm/360 than you do.
Check stermy's pov, he uses around the same sensitivity than you do and he can flick 180 just using his wrist if he needs to.
2-3 little flicks can be better than one long ass turn that'll leave your wrist blocked in that direction.

I used to use no accel, and based on advice from better players watching some of my previous videos, I've started to add a little in. I use m_cpi so my sens is measured in deg/cm. I used to use sens 14 (so 360/14 = 25.7 cm / 360), but with the accel in there I found I could still flick quickly to do a fast 180 with 1 wrist motion. So I tried to actually lower my sens a little more even (down to 10, or 36 cm/360) and I've really been liking it. I will take your advice to heart though and try to increase my accel (it's currently 0.15, with all of the other accel vars like offset and cap at their defaults). When I explored values of 0.2 and higher, I couldn't get used to it right away (was literally getting lost on the screen at times) and had to dial it back.

I'm currently using a Razer Destructor mousepad, and while I really like the surface, the surface area is much smaller than the old 17" x 15" one I had. I've been thinking about picking up that G-TF Spawn cloth one for $30 (amazon). it's 17" x 15", and a few players I know that got it swear by it.

Alright, off to try some higher accel values...thanks for the tips! (The real kicker was "your wrist blocked in that directoin". Been happening a lot lately!)

well then, you don't need to increase your accel - sounds like a rather classic and solid combo to me even though I'm not quite sure it works the same way as regular sens/accel do, I'll have to check it out - just don't be afraid to do a few fast flicks instead of one big movement.

Fast little movements/picking up the mouse to recenter it >>> long swipe and struggle to put it somewhere with enough surface to lg someone who caught you with your pants down. It takes a little time to get used to though.

Posting these two links so you can browse the suggested vid, it should show you how stermy manages to play with 23-24cm/360 on what virtually is a 15 cm long mousepad and how strenx manages to keep space even though he needs his 2 hands to 360.

Edit: the only 2 players who use accel and look like they have pretty heavy mouse movements I can think of are fox ( pretty slow pov, uses a wristrest - somehow manages to not look like he's struggling in fights - ) and z4muz ( sluggish as hell but he's using even lower sens than strenx and plays 3 games every 2 months ). Dunno if you"ll be able to find vids though.

You should play T4, To work on enemy position.
You got caught off guard so many times, the most obvious moment was the upper YA with the jump pad.

(When you were on Mega, 4:40) You should be thinking if he attacked me from the high ground he can goto upper YA or tele x3 and do some damage on me if I goto lower YA.

I would also maybe say play more Aerowalk aswell to practice on always expected attacks their was a few times when he died and you were left on a small stack and he rushed you stright away and you wern't expecting it.

Way too many comments/advice:

*If you're at LG and he's at yellow and you happen to have him low, such that he goes right to get away, you can double tele and catch him near plasma. I think I saw a couple missed opportunities on that. For example at 2:50 I would have immediately double tele'd.

*You're doing some weird stuff with your mouse.. like maybe it's indecision or maybe it's at the end of the pad, not sure. For example at 1:42 you did some weird turn towards the RL corridor and got surprised.. I can see how you might face that way in case he double backs but you weren't really prepared for either, and meanwhile standing in the middle of the road :-)

Another at 2:54 coming out of the tele, maybe some weird preparation for a strafe jump?

*You sometimes do some "committal" motions. Like at 3:10 the jump pad mistake, partly caused by just knowledge of the enemy position, but it seems like you just decide you're going somewhere and walk there and aren't ready to change direction.
Also at 6:50 (10:03 in the vid) you had ~30/30, but were already too committed into the LG room to back out and escape. Same with 8:18.. like as if you said "I'm gonna hop my way to LG, then reconsider things" heheh, only there was a problem between here and there ;-)

*5:37 something rather odd, the yellow was spawned but you did not pick it up, instead went for the gauntlet. Similar at 7:04, the center yellow spawns (you can see and hear it) but you just go right past :p

*8:07 the last second mega jump.. I can tell you from experience that this is not a good idea :-) I used to think it was, but in practice strongest is really just to stand on it. You'd be surprised what kind of BS can happen otherwise.

*There's something I don't know.. odd about where you place your crosshair when waiting for an item. It is hard to to my finger on. Like at 8:40, I would have rested by crosshair at the stairs entrance to mega, so if he sees you shoot and he backs up into the rocket. Donno, hard to describe.

If you look at the sequence starting at 9:35 (13:36) you pick up the center yellow, and I hear him teleport to top, pick up top yellow and I would definitely assume he's going to pick up lg next, which he does. During this time you kind of hug the wall, go up an down a step on the stair case, and are sort of facing the wall instead of any potential enemy appearance points. He couldn't really actually _get_ to where you were, but it's the kind of thing that makes me nervous. Definitely 9:41 when you look away from the LG exit I am like tweak from south park and go "ah!!". Maybe it's my quakeworld habits that I am nervous about such things.. don't know.. oh well, I'm the one commenting so entitled to my opinion :-p

*9:44 two things, one why are you trying to grenade :0, the other is I have this habit of when I'm going to do a quick camp and wait on a spot like that I always walk key it, I mean he has a reasonable idea of where you are anyways but I think it helps. Certainly I wouldn't have walked as close to that exit as you did to shoot that grenade. Committal and not quiet :-)

*The way you go up the jump pad on t9 looks committal, slow and dangerous. Wall clipping it works much better. See demo here:

Nice, I didn't even know that was a facility of this site, haha. Reading now...

On T9 I time mega and 1 armor, then just figure out when the other armors spawn (or at least 1 other armor) relative the the armor I am timing.

So basically I say:
- Mega is at this time.
- Center YA at another time
- Jumppad YA 5 seconds after.

It causes me to sometimes give up a YA when mega/YA are at the same time though. One could delay mega, but I find it's usually best not to stay around that pit of death for too long.

IMHO you dont know this map - when you told "that was realy clever" it was just normal trick on this map
