Thanx for firmware. Can you explain step by step how u downgrafe ur xai. I try it firs 1. XaiFix_x86, 2. Steelseries Xai_Reset_to_1.2.179, and 3.Xai_v1.3.6, but give when i try to load software ask me for firmware upgrade. and that is over and over again.

Uninstall 1.4.2 software from PC.

Then run Xaifix to clear everything in windows and registry.
Then downgrade firmware 1.2.179 so you error firmware was not successful. But it works fine. You might want to change dpi through screen. No software avi at this point.

Then install 1.3.6 which will tell you to upgrade firmware to 1.3.6. Which usually get flashed successful. In this software you can change dpi and stuff. Test your dpi etc if you like it.

If you dont like it install 1.4.2 for back to normal.

Do anything Xai is not fixable with these methods.

Oops I accidently gave the 1.3.6 firmware with it as well. Well just downgrade it to the 1.2.179 and do some testing on 5040 dpi.

As toop mentioned, if it tells you it was not successful, just ignore it.

If you unplug and replug the mouse back in, the firmware version should show up on the little LCD for a brief moment.

I haven't tried this because I don't own a Xai, but I seriously doubt you can remove the accel since it uses the same sensor as the G9X and the actual sensor has accel in it

I tested 1.2.179 a long time ago and the acceleration was the same as the latest 1.4.2.

Isn't the accel on the Avago ADNS-A9500 dependent on the CPI being counted up in the 90's? :s

Well I was wondering if the accell isn't a side effect that only occurs when not using certain dpi values. Though the Xai with the old firmware is the only mouse using the ADNS A9500 which can select 5040 dpi.

When doing swipes to turn 180°, it no longer ended up in random locations on higher speeds for me on 5040 dpi.

So I'm wondering if anyone else can reproduce this?

If this works out, I'm starting to wonder if it has anything to do with how the sensor works on lower (non native?) dpi values.

Oh and 5040 = 56*90

I just pulled my Xai back out to test it again. Last time I only tested at lower CPI and this time I tried it at 5040 CPI. With 1.2.179 its the same exact amount of shit accel found on the latest firmware.

Try 900 dpi which is also very stable on Xai. I think its more stable than 450 Dpi.
Or wait for SS new mice. Hope they use optical sensor in it.
