I'm having a bit of an issue connecting the Samsung 2233rz to the Alienware M11x and achieving 120hz.
Specs:
- Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
- gfx card: GF GT 335M
- driver version: 275.33
- Maybe this might matter, the model is M11xR2
The monitor is hooked up with a hdmi / dvi cable (the laptop only has hdmi input & the monitor only dvi). 120hz isn't even an option in the windows refresh rates which is weird, and selecting any hz over 60 just gives me the "check monitor cable" error. It shows a maximum of 110hz in the menu, even if I show the rates that can't be displayed. I've installed the monitor drivers but afaik it just adds the monitor name to windows.
I've tried to look on google and nobody seems to have the same issue as me, instead their issue is that it won't run 120hz in games but can detect it in windows. But i'm stuck on 60hz all the time. Has anyone else had this issue?
