so even the lol edition jitters? but tape fixes it? this mouse is confusing

My mouse is an normal version without windows7 compatibility mark on box.

It jitters and noone can do something with this.

And also I was trying to fix it with scotch tape but doesn't help too much.

I ordered one a few days ago and I will get in on the next week probably. I'll report then here whether it jitters or not.

I already have one abyssus that was bought six months ago and it jitters like a motherfucker. It doesn't have win7 support mark on the box. Hopefully I'll be more lucky with my new abyssus...

I tried one and it jittered like fuck. One of the newer ones. I keep getting it out once in a while to see what it's like but then rage when the jitter kicks in

My abyssus LOL edition doesn't jitter on any surfaces I have tried on so far

Warning: I read here that the Abyssi with the win7 support mark on the box don't jitter so I bought a 2nd one at a local Best Buy. The 2nd Abyssus jitters more than my first one.

Keep in mind there is no 100% sure way to know if you'll get a working abyssus or not.

Return it to the shop... it's defect after all.

I think it depends on which mousepad/version you are using. I've owned 2 Abyssi, the latest of which is the LoL version, and experienced no jitters on my Allsop Raindrop pad (450 dpi 1000hz).

honestly i don't think the mousepad combo has much to do with it. if the fucker jitters, it jitters. if it does a little less on a certain mousepad then it's not worth having it in the first place. my abyssus works on everything with 0 jitter, while others have jitter doing everything.

Hey, how did you put the scotch tape in? Did u just tape over the whole sensor or just the bottom part of it so the optical lens is still showing properly?

my abyssus doesnt jitter on my goliathus or my sphex(razer too) at any dpi setting - its the LoL edition

puttin scotch tape doesnt do shit about the LOD tho

Put it right until it reaches the small lens.
BTW, if you put it also over the edges of the sensorhole, it starts to scratch on the mosuepad...

lol, when i read about it the first time, i was applying up to 10 layers of "tesa-film" without any effect.

The whole thing should be about making the spot of light smaller, rather than decreasing the intensity of light.

testing the Abyssus (Mirror Version because I am afraid I will abuse the standard coating pretty fast, Model No. RZ01-0036, Prod No. RZ01-00360500) after a year with the wmo

- jittering on desktop with Goliathus Speed Fragged Ed., almost like anti-prediction, it tries to cover each pixel in paint, so all lines look like stairs :D
- in game almost unnoticable, but I don't know what the effect on mouse pointer speed etc.. is :~
- gonna stay with it for now till I'm sure I will replace it, the shape and weight (8-10 g lighter than my wmo) is unmatched for my needs
- tried different fixes, like thunda's screenshot, transparent scotch tape over the sensor, covering most of the hole, but even lod stays almost the same

just to repeat it after some time not hearing that line: I don't know what the QA division is smoking at razer's

For me nothing worked, this shit was jittering so much on every mousepad I tried I couldnt even draw a straight line in ps or move an object properly in blender
So I have fixed it with logitech g700

If you want to draw straight lines then get a mouse with prediction
