If the United States split into individual states, do you think the world would be better off? Which states would be the most successful as independent entities, and which would suffer the most or cause the most conflict?
Everyone wants meat and bread, so probably states like Wyoming, Idaho, and Dakota. The southern states would probably reform into a confederate again so the north could crush them again. Hey, if your in a jonesy thread you might as well get crazy too.
I wish it would happen, collapse and reform. Then maybe the States could use it's geo-economical strength for good, instead of embarrassing itself on the world stage over and over and over and over...
Americans are not unique enough to warrant 'individual states'.
There is some difference between key states like MA, CA etc but generally you all work towards the same things.
Don't make the mistake the dumb shits in Europe are making by trying to lump us all together and make up a super power.
The UK is going to break away from Europe because its destined to fail. The only people who benefit from it in europe are lower tier countries like E Europe/Greece/Ireland/several baltics and slowly they will start going broke as you nearly have. The rest of the powers like germany would probably approve it to cleanse the whole world war thing, and nobody likes the french anyway.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the muslims/south americans in your country too. Watch out for accusations of being racist, a solid tactic used by any ethnic minority to abuse the system and obtain objectives through guilt, fear and political correctness, and boy will they try and that's jsut the butt hurt left wing faggots reading this post.
But they will only turn your place into the shitholes they are trying to escape from.
Muslims??????? theres like less then a % there hardly a threat, latinos on the other hand will be 50% within 20 years imo but dont worry about them worry about the .5% muslims and blacks
Americas a big country its easy to push ppl off into places
Don't put too much faith into China, keep in mind that 70% of the country has less than $2000 income and live in third world conditions. The coastal manufacturing region is damn near entirely tied to foreign markets because they can't sell that shit back to their own people, when the western nations market takes a tumble, China goes along for the ride, and a market collapse in China doesn't mean living off of social service and working part time, it means catastrophic unemployment and malnutrition.
the problem of the usa is that every faggot in this world speaks their language ... all their working people are exchangeable ...
you can outsource almost everything to other countries ...
and that's what they are doing actually like no other country in this world ... I think that is their main problem, if their wouldn't be any globalisation, they would still be no. 1 ... india and china would still basically live in the stone age without globalization, actually 40-50 % of their population still live in the stone age for means of exploitation to also finance cheap academic labour ... can't do anything about it ...
you should be glad you experienced this time of wealth, because now the exploit-states are taking over and our states will adapt to them in order to be competetive
The French actually have a very strong economy and make up a good part of Europe's GDP. Letting the GIPS (Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain) States using the Euro was a really bad idea in the first place.
the market disagrees -- have you seen french cds prices in the last few days? my bloomberg anywhere is broken so i can't show you a graph but they're currently at an all time high > 100 vs. lows in the last FEW years of something crazy like 7.
The United States will never collapse. She is the leader of the free world, acting from pure altruism. Her saintly glow fills my heart with hope for a free and just future. Let us all pray that those who wish Her destruction and harm will fail so that She can enter into a new noble phase.
1 .as long as i live i hear that US economy is going to collapse, that US dollar is going to go off, that it's a fat cat that cannot feed itself blah blah blah. It's been 20+ years and that hater bullshit is getting only more and more pathetic
2. US splitting in states is even more pathetic though to worry or debate about. It is silly thing of the past that exists for no reason today. Localized government control is not that bi of a benefit to have, but separation of votes and identities is damaging.
europe is awaiting the same fate ...
you know germany and france, the 2 states currently paying for all these other states, also have no money ...
asia will steamroll us ... every shit you buy is coming from china, you have to wonder where "made in china" is not written on ...
not only the cheap things come from here, also the engineering is coming from china, because you get 5 engineers from there for the price you have to pay for one here ...
it's not anymore the age of states, it's the time of companies ...
there are many companies from america and europe having a lot of good values on the stock market ... but all these companies have at least outsourced 50 % of their labour and production to so-called "emerging countries", e.g. cheap labour countries ...
If the states were independent, they could have individual currencies. Since the currency would fluctuate with the economic health of the state and not the overall nation, it would make it easier for economically poor states to receive external investment.
or some crap like that, tis what my econ prof said in some class
if you go out of the union, it's becoming economically even worse ...
imho, the EU should never have happenend, germany should have had the same attitude as switzerland towards the EU ... but now you are in you can't get out anymore ... now germany has to pay for all these states until everything collapses, and then will never get back anything from these "investments"
its just germany trying to take over the world, failed with military now trying financial. imf/world bank route, just cuz public thinks its free moneys doesnt mean govs see it same wai
