Really liking the chemistry between Greased and 2gd. They're doing a fantastic job and aside from the buzzing (which appears fixed now) everything seems to be going smoothly. The stream is stutter free and coming in crystal clear, and they're hitting up as many games as they can. Gotta say, I'm really impressed.
it's an embarrasment. QL.TV should cease and desist, no offense to them but the euro's do it much better. I'm sorely dissapointed to the point where I don't even want to watch this.
How is it a disappointment? Considering they've been streaming matches for like 6 hours straight with two guys covering almost every match they could possibly cover what the hell do you expect?
No I'm not laughing at all, wtf. It makes me sad when any quake related coverage has issues because it hurts us all in the end.
I'm sure the QL.TV guys are doing everything they can to smooth out the problems, I couldn't watch a lot yesterday but when I did, I noticed Greased and Jehar trying to fix the issues, casting off demos, etc. So props to them.
This year has been so much better than QC2010, so you guys should appreciate that, remember it's never easy to do live event coverage!
i only watched the thing live till the end of strenx vs tox yesterday, and the coverage was great until then, except for the 45min nothing before that game and the bzzzzzzzz, neither of them was so bad and you could tell that they were working hard to make everything as smooth as they could, propst to them
if only they uploaded some demos asap instead of just streaming them t_t
We always hear "its not easy at a live event" (of course its not).
We always hear "I'm sure they're doing everything they can..." (Of course they are- everyone wants to succeed).
So if everyone knows its not easy at a live event, and everyone is doing everything they can, why don't the results turn out the same? What is the reason that consistently, some streams turn out better than others?
This year it seems like they're doing a pretty good job of staying on top of the technical issues. I mean hell, haven't there been full blown power outages at other events where entire games had to be re-played because of massive technical failures?
I'll say it again, I think they're doing a hell of a job and while I don't always prefer Greased's casting, he's even going back over demos after the event is done. If Trance says passion plays a part in how well the casting goes, then Greased and the QLtv crew have that in spades.
