I run my desktop on high contrast and had especially installed chrome for quakelive (because it ignores high contrast, and makes the web stuff actually watchable).

sigh...

btw ie 9 doesnt work properly with ql ether. there are known issues on the forums. so all that's left is firefox...

In Europe firefox is the browser of choice anyway.

Tried this way, QuakeLive plugin is not starting.

So QL is FUBAR in Chrome ATM.

Same for me - mouse feels really strange in firefox (clean install). Luckily ie8 works fine..

It is a joke that they cant fix that though. How incompetent can a web developer be?

Is that true? I use firefox from day1, never tried other one for quake live. Can you elaborate more on the mouse stutter, because sometimes I really do feel my mouse funny(like I use different mouse settings/sens - no, I don't use accel).

When I started playing QL I was using firefox (2 or 3, dunno) as well and I can't remember having any problems. In current firefox (5.0.1) I got slight fps drops and mouse input seems to be delayed sometimes. I tried turning accel off but the strange mouse feel remained. In ie8 I don't have any problems (aside of not being able to use userscripts) so I don't think its a placebo. But I can't prove it either.

i watched the whole QC, and delays were to stack games by request from the casters

It was good compared to previous QCons and even to some other QL tournaments, but if I was watching Quake for the first time in my life and never seen how not perfect coverage usually is on QL tournaments, I'd say it still was a fail.

Oh, but if only their games were possible without hardly any delays, bugs, and without a lack of content...not to mention, you're defending them over a single decent year of organizing a TOURNAMENT? I thought id was renowned for making (shitty) games?

Push 'Install' button, nothing happens. Nothing in error console either.

yea it worked for me. im using the portable version if it makes a difference.
