I made a post not too long ago saying I didn't get why people loved games like that. Tried LoL out a few times by myself just didn't get the appeal

Then played it with the guys I mentioned in #1 who also shared the same view of thinking it was shit... Now we're playing it every night for hours and the time flies by...

Think of it like drinking. With friends it's alright. On your own it's just fucking boring most the time

it depends on the source of those 5 millions.

If it comes from the company itself or one of its investors then there can't be problems, or the company's reputation would be affected.

LoL has been so dominant that its developers were starting to get lazy.

The moment dota2 was announced they released a new map (the game had only 2), the said 5m in prizes, and started prioritizing content instead of balance changes. Competition is good.
